Thread: Still cleaning up I see...

Wow, I bounced just as the CU was going live on some servers (still haven't seen a post CU live server) and it looks like some of the really silly issues that where on TC then made it to live, sticky P-Darts, most of the rest of the traps doing nothing, stuff like that, lol. I think the last thing I posted was some TC data about the traps.... anyway.
My life is slow again, so I was thinking about coming back. But I kinda thought I'd feel things out a bit.
Lets see... last things I remember.. we got CL, they jacked our XP up bad, PvE was so boring I could hardly bring my self to sign on to TC, in fact things where so about your CL vs. it's CL that it hardly mattered what weapon you where holding, the AS Corr went Bug F**k Insane and there was much speculating, gossiping and deleting of threads. The last bit was the only fun part.
So I guess I'm asking, whats up?

Well, as DaveG so taciturnly put it, same poop, different day.
Expanding a little on that, lots of new quests, plenty of stuff to keep newb and mid level players occupied, high end are making their own entertainment by soloing krayts, interfering with the gorax and I think JB's threatening to get intimate with the Acklay unless they give him something big and chewy to sharpen his claws on.
Probably best to have a little read through the forums and get a feel of some of the other stuff that's going around. I'll not comment on it for fear of sounding biased one way or the other. But yeah, a fair bit of, ahem, silly stuff.

I still drink too much. School is out for summer(damn I'm too old for college that 5 year break is kinda hurting). That's about it.....wait you meant in game, well im not really sure or can give any answers like the others because I havent really came back yet either,but I hear its not THAT bad

speaking of drinking....
I love absynth. mate from england came over state-side for the summer and brought a few bottles with him on Monday. Ones already gone. Ooops.So yeah...everything is the same for the most part. But at least I'm drinking a new beverage.

this was genuine stuff, with wormwood. smuggled (okay, stuck in a bag) through customs. very enjoyable.

I read an ad for some absithe "substitute" drink... It was a legal version of it that promised to have you seeing the Green Fairy. Can't remember where I saw the ad or what it was called--Absanthe or something like that.

I've had it, didn't think much of it.
If you want some thing like Absinthe that isn't Absinthe grab a bottle of Pernod. It used to be Absinthe. Who ever reworked the formula did a good job.
Oh ya and I meant Switzerland ... not Sweden...

Dont go drinking the green fairy guys. About a month back myself, a friend and our two dates ended up having an absinthe party after a long day's drinking. The next day, waking up stark nakedon my friend's living room floor on top of a girl i swear was ten times better looking the night before, we found that3 of ushad light alcoholic poisoning that kept us housebound for almost 4 daysand the 4th victim in hospital getting fluids pumped back into her system hehe.
Was it fun? Hell yes until the next day
Would i do it again? I wont plan for it but it will probly happen again
Moral of the story? Dont drink the green fairy after you have already been drinking. It has a very distinct habbit of kicking in all at once and when you least expect it.
Oh and though im sure a few of you have experienced alcoholic poisoning before, for those that havn't: Its not good.

Alcohol poisoning is the fun. Nothing better than being hung over for two weeks, throw up for5 days, and have the shakes for a week. Funner than a barrel of monkeys I tell ya. I will have to pass on the stuff that makes you seepoop thatisnt there. I'm an ex-cop with a few guns around so my place would be full of holes. Little green fairies would be dead all over the country.
disclaimer: for all you young kids that havent experienced the pleasantries of alcohol poisoning, stop drinking now. its not fun nor entertaining. Alcohol is of the devil. Moral of the story is take up smoking instead. Never heard of anyone getting cigarette poisoning. (I'm only joking dont smoke either)

Man... the Green Fairy will kick your ass if you're not looking. I have one friend who collects absinthe memorabillia (posters and such) and another who made his own.
The homemade stuff was dangerous.

Is the stuff you get from the UK 'real' as in has the Wormwood in it? Its still not legal in most places, but its kinda hard to keep track these days. In the US its an FDA (Food and Drug Administration, in case any of you non USA pinkos are wondering) thing, can't sell any thing for human consumption with Wormwood or Calamus root in it.
A friend of mine brought back 3 kinds from Sweden, it's original home. I was majorly hip of them to make it legal again. One tasted just like mine. Needless to say, I was very happy.
