Heh, yeah on Lowca it seems like I see that all familiar robe at every starport. Though I do see a few rangers around too whenever that hot shift of meat/ hidecomes in. $

We did a "Ranger sound off" thread here in the forum. Got about 200 individual shouts where about 1/3 were those with only partial Ranger status (not masters). Given that not everyone uses these forums ...we'll be really generous andadd halfthat number again. I am almost certain there are more than 300 Jedi total.

Yep. And I am trying for the same thing on Wanderhome for the Ranger meets. Sorry I haven't been infecting these boards more with my big ugly sig lately but I've been quite busy lately (to the point where I haven't even been able to log in since the last Ranger meet
). And Squad Leader is suprisingly useful. It's a bit underpowered for the skill points (sounds familiar) but it can really help out in fights (especially PvP). Imagine a group full of defense stackers getting another +30 defense (that can go over the cap), bonuses to dodge/counterattack/block (rally), +60 TN, almost continuous burst run (from /retreat), and making it so that even Commandos can hit most of the time (rally and steadyaim). Not to mention that you need a Squad Leader to initiate a player base destruction. It definately has its uses.

Throwing a rock would be a ranged attack which they would block with their saber so you can throw rocks without hitting jedi all the time

Talk about rare, for a while I was Master Ranger almost Master Squad Leader ... there was some rare professoin combo in my opinion.
I don't have any stats, but I would guess Valcyn is the same way, far more jedi the Master Rangers.

Quick body count for last night while I was tootling around getting a krayt skull for my house.
Rangers: (all 'ranks') 7
Jedi: (all 'ranks' ) 8...
... then I popped out of a shuttle near the krayt reservation up in the NE of Tat...
a coachload of no less than 12 jedi arrived, hunting party looking for saber components.
Covert, secretive, hunted, rare...
Even the local bounty hunters could do nothing but stand and gawp.
