No there is no way to hang things on your wall now, except for fish. This is a topic that has been floating around this forum for a while but I don't think we will se this for a long time if at all becuase the devs want to focus on fixing everything first.

What, if anything, ever became of the taxidermy discussion? I've dropped skins to make a rug and I hung a skin on my wall, but what about the stuffed picket head I want for my den?

There have been many many threads on this in the last year and a half. It is not forgotten. Especially now with the hide schematics and such.

Just a note - rather than necroposting next time you may want to make your own thread on the subject and link to the past discussions. It is policy to lock threads that have been necroposted. Also a lot of people get annoyed that they were "tricked" into replying to an old thread.

I've been a long time advocate for this idea and I have used the BE workaround that Delta mentioned but my take on how this should work is as follows.

A trophy is not just a decoration but a trophy and should acknowledge a significant accomplishment. With that in mind :

1. Skill is available at MR only.

2. The MR can click on a corpse and gets a radial menu option that allows him to create a trophy.

3. The MR only gets theCreate Trophy menu for a corpse that was killed by the MR orthe MR's group.

4. When theTrophy isplaced and clicked on it will show a plaque listing the player or players that helped take the Trophy.

ex. Ancient Bull Rancor taken by Vorpaks.

or

ex. Ancient Bull Rancor taken by Vorpaks,Owen Lars and Brisc Rubal.

5. Optionally if more than one player is listed on the plaque then they would be listed according to who did the most damage. Of course this would require the server to keep track of this information during combat and that may not be the case.

Well if we all think that it should be a ranger only skill then it will be relased in two months for all scouts.
(badadump bump!)

I wonder if the graphics for the wall mounts found in the tre files isnt really this?

This is the greatest case of false advertising I've seen since I sued the movie The Never Ending Story.

In Ultima Online (where this game has its roots) they added taxidermy stuff after a couple years.

I can see it happening in this game too with all the un-rare junk they are adding to loot.
