.All i asked for was a bit of advise, it seems you are to far stuck up your own arse to give it so please go somewhere else. You are going tooooo far with this Themo !We are not impressed by people who grind their professions. within a month You pester the forums with n00b questions which you should have already learnt by by reaching Master Scout... It's a real shame.
If you continue to be rude, you have nothing to gather from this corner of the forums. A strike on JB is a strike on all of us !
as i said, i didnt set out to "grind" scout, it just happens that i got 250 odd exp from harvesting quenkers, i am hardly going to go around smacking nunas as a master swordsman am i. If you actually read my posts instead of jumping on the flame band wagon you would understand.
As for the 1 star stalker...grow up
c'mon shygirl. relax. these are questions you can learn yourself in scout, but weren't we all new once? I asked similar questions at one point and look at me now. Who knows, if we treat this guy right and show him why it's fun to be a Ranger (the people are awesome) then he might change his playstyle and become a true Ranger. Let's not totally judge this person yet.

Ok we told you where to look. I would definitely check out the guides stuck at the top of the scout and ranger forums. Those should answer most of your questions. If you have any other then your question will be quite specific and I am sure it can be answered.

So what your saying is, because he has been a ranger since the year dot he has the right to belittle people who have just started the game (less than 1 month ago) and have just started the profesion who would like a few hints as to where to go and what to kill. ok
sure you guys can take the opinion that you are the only ones allowed to be rangers and that new people can be patronised and called noobs (not exact words but thats clearly what he meant) He knows nothing about me or my play style, assuming i started in my home city and have never left my home planet. Again all i asked for was a few pointers, the rest i would happily learn myself, I didnt ask which mobs to kill, i asked which qualities are in demand (flavour/overall qual/toughness etc) which planets. i will quite happily search around hunting various mobs to find which is the better choice.
I have learnt one thing today, that these boards seem to be populated by self important elitists, sorry to have wasted yours and my time by posting here. You know, you're taking what was a very small jab very seriously. What JB is talking about is people who grind Ranger and never learnt the skills or how to use them. It's like being a Master Dancer and asking what a flourish is on the boards. We LOVE getting new faces in here. Some of the people I respect most on this forum are newer. A lot of them know more than me. We're happy to answer questions, we're simply commenting that most times we see questions like these, they're coming from people who are novice scout. It is odd to see a Master Ranger who doesn't know how harvesting works. I also thought it was weird that a doctor wouldn't know which meats are needed most.
I'll answer your questions-- but again, read the scout guide. There's probably stuff in there you didn't think to ask.
Here's a little run-down on harvesting:
The amount you harvest is based on three things: Skill of the player, the Health of the animals, and the creature level of the animal. Each creature will drop specific resources. All insects drop insect meat, etc. You should learn what animals drop what resources. Your harvesting bonus will be listed in your skill page, the health of the creature (skinny, normal, fat) is based upon where you are on the planet. If you're getting skinny harvests, go hunt someplace else.
The most in-demand resources are for docs and armorsmiths. Docs need avian meat and herbivore meat. OQ is good to look at, but you want a combination of around 2600 for the top three stats, as I remember. Check your servers' trade forum to see what people are paying. Armorsmiths need wooly hide for composite. OQ is important, but hide with good Malleability sells really well. It is generally believed that mall. affects the encumberance of the armor, meaning hig Malleabiity equals lighter armor.
Resources "shift" meaning they change sporadically. so while this week corellian avian might be selling well, next week it could be horrible.
Hope this helps...and stick around. You got off on the wrong foot, but there's no reason you have to stay on that foot.
well thanks, thats pretty much what i wanted to know, And i am sorry for reacting to some posters but as i said thats all i wanted to know, the rest i would rather find out myself
Being rude won't take this person very far..... That was my message.
