Play how I've always played. Be excited when I get a good enough contract to get a big hunt group going and rake in some nice harvest. Probably get more involved with the Antarian Rangers on Radiant or some other hunt groups and get o their mailing lists. Check RIN whenever I want to hunt to see if there are others on hunting the same stuff and maybe collaborate. I rarely feel forced to do anything.

SO I asked what they thought about the harvest changes. The majority of folk I got ANY response from were like "What changes?"
Yeah, the frogs don't exactly bring out the cream of the crop when it comes to playersThey definitely have uses, like testing different levels of scout/ranger templates for this group change.
Otherwise, most are just there to try something they haven't done before, or build that "l33t" template.
Actually, while paks and I were on endor, we had several people ask us what we were doing and if we wanted to go to the DWB instead.
Funny thing was, one guy kept sending me tells that went something like this:
Him: want to go to DWB?
Me: No, sorry, just testing the new harvest changes
Him: ok, cool
Him: (a couple of minutes later) how do i find it?
Me: NW
20 minutes later:
Him: I forgot I need to talk to boba first![]()

What will i do when the bonus system comes and ENCOURAGES grouping?
Ill group, ill solo but ill be looking for groups. Groups are great fun, its what these games are all about and it should always be desirable.
And stop using the "enforcing" crap because it isnt true. If you dont group do you think a csr will ban you? If you dont group do you think the reds will slap you down? No they wont. Solo and you play normally, group and you get group bonus, thats it.
My favourite times in the game and any other mmo have come from the first few weeks of playing. Grouping with 15 mates on rori all noob and all kicking the crap out of squalls or around AH on Tat hunting down imperials with no buffs, no armour and having the bestest of times. I long for those days to return, we are heading in the right direction.

out of context of this thread but what i'd like to know is why i earned suc a low star rating on starting this thread...
I've just asked opinions and see how people think about it. Some funny options were mentioned.
Yet none validates the 2 stars given (or as a result of multiple votes)...

I think its because from the title it seemed you were implying that you are going to be 'forced' into groups to do what a ranger does. Thats not true, its simply an incentive and thats why i think alot of people didnt like how the thread was structures.
Note: I didnt rate this thread btw but if i had to i wouldnt give it a 5 star because it suggests something that isnt true.

I'll be honest, I haven't even read up on the new stuff. My question is, is the new rules prohibiting solo groups then? Or wouldn't that just become more popular again among Rangers? If so, Maybe we should start organizing Ranger groups....or, not sure if there is a way, but come up with our own chatline on each server, to form groups, and get tips for harvesting.

You have to be within 64m of another Scout of Ranger (when harvesting) to get a bonus.

is it correct that MRangers do NOT get the +40% bonus? do they only get +20% and everyone else in group gets +40%??
because, well, that's just stoopid.

It's called the RIN (ranger information network) and it has already existed for a long time on most servers.
It shouldn't be to hard to find people to group with there.

At it stands right now, you can not get the bonus from your own skills (i.e. a Master Ranger does not get a 40% bonus unless he is grouped wtih another Master Ranger).
