I honestly think the increase in krayt spawn is because of an outcry from Jedi wanting access to more pearls. I used to lead a lot of hunts for krayt, before the spawn mod, it was getting impossible for "your" group to solo a krayt before someone/group jumped in and could steal your loot.
So, to stop that we increase the krayt spawn. Taking that a bit further, we've increased krayt so that it is now out of any proportion to SW canon. This helps our inflated numbers of Jedi get pearls, whose numbers are also way out of wack with SW canon.
Call me pessimistic. But is it only me that see's our game, SWG, will in time only resemble Star Wars in name only?

I can remember getting paid 500k from a jedi, long ago, for leading him and his group to a krayt where he got a very valuable pearl. I now know that those days are long over. It used to be fun to track krayt, I am so sick of bladeback boars, moisture farmers and pirates I just say no now, hide my master ranger title and make myself unsearchable.

I agree about putting the fear back into the mighty Krayt. People shouldn't be like 'Oh, just a Krayt. No big deal.' That wasn't the main point of my argument. And I agree that every server having a city near the graveyard is a joke. No one in their right mind would want to live near the one spot that everyone knows for sure that Krayt Dragons habitate.There is a prime example of what thesecities should look like. Its called Kimogila Town.
Its the rest of the planet where I see the problem. It isn't the fact that they're outin the Dune Sea or the Wastes, its the fact that it looks like a Krayt Dragon Dealership showing off this year's models. If the spawn rate increase was cut in half for the rest of the planet and left where it is now for the graveyard I'd be happy. That way, there would still be dragons spawning outside of the graveyard at a higherrate than before the patchand the graveyard itself would still live up to its reputation. But what do I know? 
I'm not quite ready to move. It was only the first time I'd been killed because of a dragon since the increase. I like the spot I'm in, I like the way my house looks, and it would be a huge pain to pack it all in and find a new spot.
Although if I did pack it in, it would be a good excuse to get a bigger house.
