Yes its the end of ranger. It will be the end of life as we know it. Cats sleeping with dogs. Republicans hugging democrats. Being an image designer will be the FOTM for PvP'ers. The game will go topsy turvey. We will be forced to eat spam as a way to increase our mind stats. Times will change we will find that unless the imperials invade corelia its all for nothing. The lot trades for space lots for your personal generic space stations(Holds 250 items hope that doesnt break NDA) will be the only thing care about. But architects will quit over the fact that it takes 4.5 million Polysteel Unobtainium Ore to make each station. And that players wont pay more then 25k for them. Brisc will quit Fight and become a full time dancer/musician.

Its over i tell you OVER... wheres my EQ2 invite

JtL will cause a dip as said, but it will not kill the market entirely.

What we should be more concerned about is the effects of the Combat Update. While things will be drastically different, we can speculate that players will be brought down to approximately what the CH's were back in December. The amounts harvested will likely be significantly reduced because of the difficulty in taking down tougher creatures. There are unknowns such as how much buffs (and thus the need for resources) will be affected. These effects together might drive up prices for reduced quantities, or they might dry up the market.

The economic future of the game will be interesting to watch. Hopefully I will still be able to read the boards to see how things go.

Age check: "Space Rangers of the Lost Extra-Terrestrial Shark"

lol @ Wooly Hutt Fighters "The Hutts are giving chase! Deploy the burrs!"

I think that there will still be plenty of ground game going on. If JTL brings people back to SWG, then those that have quit may have to level up a new character to make money to buy a ship, which means buffing and armoring, which means plenty of monkey for rangers.

Ooooh, do I sense a new space-only trap for us to create? Anti-Hutt Burr Caltrops? If was running this crazy empire, those would be standard armaments for all TIE craft. Keep your ridiculous'laser cannons' and 'proton torpedoes.'

Demand might dip a bit for our resources, at least at first as people scramble to get ships, but the ground game will remain the core of SWG. Besides, you can apparently live on your ship, so people will still need furniture and clothes.

Should be interesting.
At least this particualr FOTM will take the attention away from the ground game, so those not directly involved can get on with doing 'normal' stuff, like stocking up the decent organics.

As for the wooly Hutt fighters... /smirk

Anyway, we all realize that JTL will be a mega fun distraction from the gound game while the devs implement their godsend known as the Combat Revamp. I'm sure that the ground will be empty aside from spammer in Coronet for a few days, then will slowly regenerate back to the ground as people's quests take them from setting to setting. Plus, if things like the tat wooly ingredients are correct, we should be just fine.

I actually can;t wait for JTL as a Ranger. I mean just think. No more waiting for a SHuttle to Cnet then again to Dath. Just get in my ship and fly stright to Dath myself. Land hunt or check whats droping then on to the next planet. No more standing in Cnet listening to those moronic barkers repeating themselves every 20 &^^%&^%*&^ seconds.

I heard that all the hutt fighters are constructed almost entirely out of tat wooly. Don't know if it's true or not, but just to be on the safe side I've already begun a brutalcampaign of bantha genocide. The tuskens have already written me into their crude mythologies, I bet. This ranger plans on making a literal and figurative killing when all those shipwrights start clamoring for resources.

Who knows? Maybe we'll be able to harvest those big asteroid slugs.

I can sympathize. I vowed never to harm cu pas out of respect for Tuco, my trusty mount. I also try to avoid harming kaadus (my other ranger on radiant has one named Chicken), excepting of course those kaadus that whore themselves out to filthy gungans. Those things are a disgrace to their species.
