i'mthinking one of the first things we'll need to do is put some rules into place as to who can place a house in the city...as far as their template goes. i would prefer, at this point, that people at least have scout so it trully is a ranger-type city.

thanks for the offer, oreet. i'm sure al might have something to say about you living there, though.

What's that I smell? Is it possible? Could it be... a CDEF duel?

I must admit, exploring the effects of the CU on a typical CDEF duel does sound like like a good way to kill an afternoon.

Anyway, as far as declaring goes, I can do it. Thorn Beach is one of the largest player cities on Naritus-- I'm sure it won't fall to pieces if I move elsewhere.

I'm not interested in building a character on another server for actual playing but if you want another citizen/houses to hold for new people or lot usage I can help with that. I know sometimes its tough to get citizens. So, give Kairaene/Tagen a yell on the Starsider server if you could use that kind of help. Good luck on that venture.

Novice ranger seems to be the only real requirement. Well, that and a love of the profession. We planted five houses today, so we're already halfway to the initial goal. The outpost of Antaria has almost materialized-- we can now start thinking about using this secret outpost as a means for creating ranger content on Naritus. Let us know your ingame name and you may be contacted soon with the location of Antaria, or at least what steps you have to take in orderto earn the knowledge ofits location.

The fever's giving you otherworldly inspiration-- run with it. Try and come up with a way to engineer a 'Catch a Greased Baz Nitch' contest. Just leave the 'Win a Blind Date with a Nightsister' to me. I believe I still have Axkva's number branded on my back, so as soon as I find a mirror I'll make some calls.

Do you really think she'll pick up the phone after the way you treated her? You give her 23.97 seconds of pure heaven and then never even bother to call her the next day. From what I hear, she's pretty pissed at you right now and is currently dating a gungan who, and I quote, is "Much more of a man".

You wound me, man. Anyway, your information is erroneous. It was just a couple of innocent dates that didn't go anywhere. We had dinner, some laughs, she force choked me a few times... nothing serious. We parted amicably and if I run into her at the grocery store or something, we chat and are civil toward one another.

Gungan, eh? Could be worse. Could be a filthy zab. Anyway, getting this thread back on track, a little reminder for you all: vote for Lira when the city hall goes up so we can flesh out the place as quickly as possible.

I had no idea rangers were so gutter-minded. Anyhow, thereal fun is about to begin--creating content for ourselves. One thing I think we need to capitalize on is our mystique. I think that other Naritus rangers will want to join us after we get rolling. Based on a semi-related conversation I had with Cryos a couple weeks ago, I think it would be cool if, once word of Antaria starts to get around, we come up with quests/missions for other rangers to perform if they want to know where exactly Antaria is. But before that even, we need todevise a role for ourselves within Naritus' unique political structure. We have rangers from all three factions--what's ourreason for buildingthis secret outpost where we can all convene? Whatcommon purpose would drive rangers who are political/ideological enemies to band together? Do we answer to anyone but ourselves? Do we see ourselves as being 'above' the everyday GCW? Intel gatherers? If so, again, for what purpose? Is our goal to observe jedi, warning some when danger is near and exposing others we feel to be a threat? Or is hunting together our only bond?

Just some things to think about. This has the potential to become something really cool, and redefine what it means to be a ranger, at least on Naritus.

I think it would also be cool to use the city as a place to train scouts and rangers, have some kind of barracks like the bottom of a guild hall where they are free to stay until they decide if they want to follow through to ranger. We can have certain "guides" that volunteer on some nights in advance to do training hunts. You could assign onescout to collect meat one bone etc and then take them all back and make camo kits and traps etc. I believe that if we spread our hospitality and friendship that we could build a really strong community, which would makes things even more fun.
