ever walk around INSIDE the lava crater?
i've got a screencap of me and a buddy beating up a Kimo inside the crater.
i'm the one Kicking the Kimo in the butt. This was back in my TKM days.
that was also when i was uber in my Ubese Armor. there was a big PvP tournament on Lowca. everyone showed up in their full Composite armor, and there i was, in a full suit of Ubese armor. Everyone thought i was a joke. i was a TKM/Ranger in Ubese armor. well, long story short, i ended up in 3rd place in the Melee Division. (first and second place were both Rodians as well)

do you actually play the game with shadows turned on, or is that just for screencaps?
i've got a pretty high-end comp, and i lag like crazy with shadows on.
my comp's specs:
3.4 Ghz Pentium 4 with hyperthreading
2 Gb RAM
256 Mb eVGA nVidia GeForce Video Card
i can have most of the graphic detail turned all the way up, and i play fine, but as soon as i check that shadows box, it just kills my computers performance.
I have most (actually everything but radial flora draw distance) maxed out. Then I have volumetric player shadows turned on always. I can run a constant 20-25 FPS (according to the network status window) for the most part. This is very playable for me, especially considering I can't get above 30 FPS anyway. The major lag comes in when I try to play with non-character shadows turned on. If I'm out in the wilderness, it will run "ok" (15-20 FPS). Once I get near a city, bye bye machine, I'm getting 2-5 FPS max.
