Ok this is really getting tiresome so this will be my last post here,I'm going to end this thread because obviously everyone has missed the main point of this post. This post is not now or was ever meant to be about waypoints. .
The main focus of this thread is to remove objects from radar when traveling at high speeds, it really has nothing to do with waypoints. The only reason why I even mentioned waypoints is because when nothing shows up on radar then how will you find what your tracking without it? I mean was it really that hard to understand? I really thought it would be obvious enough to figure that out but since so many havemissed thepoint then perhaps I did a poor job of spelling it out.
And JB in the future please do us all a favor, if your going to play thebigbad Rangerso quick to comeinto a thread and start flaming at least be big enough to admit when you are wrong.

I haven't been able to ue /track yet
. I know you meant /areatrack!
Anyway, no waypoints (haven't you been reading the recent threads about this
?) Point 3 sounds like it is the same as the /track command that TH (?) suggested back in August. I am not sure on my feelings about vehicles causing the spawn system to ignore you. Many people have gotten used to hunting on vehicles, so it probably wouldn't be well received.

Ohhh, I think JB will be on here soon to let you know about the waypoint idea, heh. The others sound ok, but I disagree with the waypoints. Just drop a wp where you did your /track, head out in the direction, get about half way, do another track. Presto, you are homing in on your critters.

I think we can all agree that /track is pretty much useless with the addition of all the vehicles into the game. Now after you read this solution I want you to put aside your initial reaction and think about it for a minute. When you think about this you will realize that this doesn't really impact the game as much as it might seem at first.Sowith thatin mind here are three simple rules that willfix this problem.
1. If you are mounted and traveling faster than /burstrun speed then NPC,Creatures and players do not show on radar.
Justification: When traveling at high rates of speed you should not be able to visually identify targets as wellas when travelingslower.
2. If you are mounted and traveling faster than /burstrun speed then your character is ignored by thedynamic spawn system.
Justification:When traveling at high rates of speed you will be seen and heard by creatures long before you see them and they will avoid you. Inaddition this has the added benefit of possibly reducing server load.
3. When you use the /track command and select a target, a waypoint is generated to the target location. This should work just like the /survey skill.
Justification: When combined with rule 1 and 2 this will allow Rangers to use their tracking skill to lead other players to creature herds and lairs.
