Thread: I wish to Create the Perfect Solo Ranger Template, PLZ HELP!

Thank you, I think we got a winner. I think I was having a hard time figuring out how to compliment Pistoleer, Ranger and CH. The CH tree I have no idea how to find out what I can, and cannot control.
It also sounds like I am pretty much be par for the course with my combinatins. So how does the Master Ranger, Master Pistoleer, 2-2-0-0 (that right?) comb work for everyone? Looking for a vote on a solo character.
Im looking for effectiveness, revenue producing, and fun factor. How does it rate?
All I can say is it sounds good in theory, but practice. Now thats up to you.
Everyone has there own view, try it out for yourself and then see how it is
"On your last line I only see the top half of the letters"
- Well, isn't that amusing. ![]()
- Are you using Internet Explorer / Netscape / Some other Browser?
- I'm using IE, and my signature is correct, while his was not. ![]()

I can see one difficulty. Unless my math is off, Master Ranger & Master Pistoleer leaves you with four skill points, assuming you keep ranged support in the marksman line.
The CH/Ranger/Ranged Combat blend does seem to work out very well for many people. The fun factor for a Ranger is excellent, IMO. I have a non-ch pet that I greatly enjoy, and I'm working on Pistoleer, so it sounds fun to me!
That is almost exactly what I am. So hopefully this helps you.
I started as scout and now ranger, those 2 being my primary professions.
I worked my way up in the marksman, topping off pistal and ranged support. The ranged support gives some great abilities like threaten shot and suppresion fire.
I now have pistalerr and will go up in the Marksmanship line. Using pistal primarly while hunting, I find I do a lot of running while shooting and throwing traps. Marksmanship gives you bonus to shooting while running.
If you want to be able to be very self sufficient in the field, then get novice medic. Now buy lots of really good stimpack B's. I use them in battle a lot. Also, at least novice entertainer, so you can heal your mind wounds on your own. We can heal BF in camps, but being in a town with almost no one there, I can still dance and heal my own BF in the cantina. Camps, are great with medic and entertainer.
That should still leave you some points to pick up CH or something if you like. Here is me currently
Scout: master/Ranger:2.2.2.3/Medic:novice/Ent:novice/Pistaleer:0.1.0.0/Marksman:3.4.0.4/Brawler:3.0.0.0
I use IE and your sig only shows the top part of, what I am assuming is, your titles...
I see:
________________________________________________________
N'Raas
????????? | Tera Kasi Monk? | Master Ranger?
___________________________________________
Now that I know your template, I think it's safe to say the first one is Engineer... Correct?
"I use IE and your sig only shows the top part of, what I am assuming is, your titles..."
- Interesting indeed. Do you use IE 6.0? Or an earlier version?
- Perhaps you defautl fonts are a different size.
- I will see about shrinking my title a bit to fit into this forum's rather constraining format. ![]()
I use IE 6.0 and my font size is Medium.
It fits better at Smaller size, but then your "g"s are missing thier bottoms. ![]()
May adjust it if you are concerned about people with poor eyesight.
I am on a laptop and Smaller is pretty darn hard to see.
this is just an idea of what you can do.
Master Scout
Master Creature Handler
Master Ranger
Marksmen go up pistol tree
novice pistoleer or whatever it's called
and you will have points to go up three boxes in one skill tree
this will leave you with 0 skill points
if you want to figure out what you want swg.allakazam.com has a character builder and you can figure out where you want your skill points and what skills you will end up with. If your looking at hides you would want to master the hunting tree in ranger at the least i'm sure they will change that back so it helps you get a lot more hide than a master scout.
I have a grand wrix and a greater sludge panther. For the record, I am a CH 1/1/1/2.
I am working towards Master Ranger. I also have Medic (0/1/0/0) and Artisan (1/0/0/3) skills, since I like being able to locate and harvest my own metal.
I am a pistoleer, currently 1/1/0/0 but working to 3/0/0/0.
I am also fairly useless in PVP, although I am pretty good at running around and healing people.

this is exactly what im doing with my second account character,i asked over in the pistoleer board and a few guys suggested to me to go for speed.it would be like for me in the pistoleer tree 0/0/0/3.add master scout, master ranger, and master creature handler.zero points left to spend.i would also have to give up ranged support, but thats no problem here.
