When sending the droid to harvest does it create a buffered list of targets to go harvest from? Say I stand back 60 meters and pick off 6 kreetles and send the droid to harvest them. Do I have to wait for it to harvest each one before I can send it to the next one or does it automatically go to each one when the command is given?

Also, if I am standing back /concealshotting rancors and I send in my droid to harvest will they aggro on the droid or is it immune to attacks?

I will test this.

The droid harvested more, but please don't get upset yet! It has only been on for a day, and I have no idea what the modules do for/to harvesting (how they work).

Hello gents,

I want to post here on a going discussion in the DE forum. I just want to get educated to see where the problem is, just personal curiosity. I am not a DE, tho I wuv droids. Might turn Ranger one day when I get tired of Architect.

Anyways, here is the geist of my comments. I would like for you guys to set me "straight" with the problems if any. Thank you.

Wrong. Most Ranger's would rather be fixed or given what the dev's promised 8 months ago rather than have a droid take away from this already incomplete profession can do. Preliminary results indicate that the droid can harvest more than the player who has the /harvest ability can.

The "Ranger Purge" has begun.

Care to offer link? The two reports here from a Ranger/Scout and a Entry Lvl Scout suggest otherwise. Not saying you are wrong, just would like to see.

Ok, I went to the ranger forum and saw the post by your correspondent. If you ask me, it seems the higher your skillset the more hides your droid would get, while you kill the monsters. I dont see how this is a loosing situation for a Ranger?

Sorta like a musical module enhancing the entertainers abilities.

I am trying to see the problem here, but dont yet see it. The droid is there enhancing the abilities a Ranger already has, not giving the ability to someone who doesnt have it. As a matter of fact we have one scout report that the droid was NOT able to harvest more than him. So, it seems it is set fairly nice, if you are a Ranger, the droids enhances your ability and collects more than you. If you are a lowly scout the droid collects, but less than you.

I dont see a problem, but I could be wrong. Or, I may have misread the posts.

I know everyone wants to get fixed. I am just trying to see how this droid module "doesnt" help you guys.

A class with scout couldend up harvesting more then a ranger becausehe has more skill points, thus he would be able to kill more mobs perhour then a ranger.

He would get more meat over the time. At least thats what the only harm i think it can do.

I can't get into Test Center to do this as our Correspondent not so subtely suggested we do. If in fact, they do not harvest as much as the player using them, so be it. I would however suggest that the time the devs spent creating a droid for lazy players would have been better spent giving Ranger's the increase in harvesting that has been suggested for a long time.

If the droids do indeed harvest more than the player has the ability for, I daresay the few remaining Ranger's will quietly (or otherwise) fade into the sunset.

We're all waiting for feedback from the Ranger and Scout correspondents on this issue. If it's the way it's described in your post, especially if the harvesting rates are a % increase of the player's harvesting mod, then I think most of us will be happy droid users.

RotorofCorRng:

No one can really tell us how the module works yet. Given the Devs' past track record, stealth nerfs are a bit too common to the Ranger/Scout profession. As such, some Rangers seem to be assuming that this is already the case. Right now, I think we just need a bit of time and information. Until we get that, it is likely you will see a bit of preemptive posting.

In theory if properly implemented it should be a possitive thing even if not what we need the most. Advancements involving us are apreciated.

I personally think this will end up being a possitive thing for us. But lets wait and see

The "problem" is Uber Template of Death + itty bity bits of Scout out harvests us Master Rangers by volume, and they cansolo. Adding a droid to increase this insult isn't a problem in itself, it just rubs salt in the wound.
