I have found a command that disbands a camp!!! If you type /quit, when you log back in a short while later the camp will be gone!

Sure you didn't fat finger the caps? I cut a pasted it, and those caps are in realy strange places even for this game. I'm sick of trying to target the sweet spot on those terms. I'd realy just love to have a hotkey to disband. It's the only thing I realy have left on my wish list. Or are you just being mean? I don't need a grinding macro, I'm done. I just like camps and that term gets me down.

darn you Fodder!!!

how dare you call my fingers FAT?!!!!!

ummm....if you're done....you can just run away from your camp. Noneed to do anything, it'll auto-disband when you get far enough away from it an you still get the XP. If you're done, you have no need for a command at all, so that should take that right off your wishlist. Only reason you would ever need a disband camp command is if you're macroing through survival. If you're just using camps when you need them, or you're done with survival, then why on earth would you care about a command like that?

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Why do people believe the weird stuff and not believe the real answer?

I am always amazed at that.

Where? I didn't go "Doh I'm a sucker!" until I looked a the caps really close lol, I had to try. I've got a thing against radial menus. I think it was me radialing /examine on the first Kimo I had ever seen, and then I got bumped by my cat... I think you can guess witch one got selected instead. In half a suit of bone, with a DLT120a, and I didn't even know what a buff was...

Ya I know you can just let it time out, but that bothers me for some reason. I think its all that time spent camping in RL. It's just habit to want to leave things the way I found em. Guess I'll just get over it, lol, it is a game after all...

But I do have to say this...

If you don't what people bugging you with questions like this all the time, you might slow em down just a bit with one nice sticky. I know its in the FAQ, but that ruse in there isn't helping anyone, and that bit about the crafting macros getting pulled sometime soon just isn't true. /nextcraftingStage isn't going any where. Poke around in the any of the crafting forums if you don't belive me. You can't afk it, so no reason for them to pull it. And pulling it would be asking for a law suit.

Subject: Macro camping/camp disbanding

There is no way to macro (afk or not) or any /command to disband camps. The thing that seems to be preventing this is there is no known way to auto target the Camp terminal. It begins with your own name so you end up targeting your self.

The only other options is to use the macro that the crafting profs use to grind. IE make a whole lot of camps or traps in Practice mode over and over, thus gaining Widerness XP. This macro can be found in the Artisan forum.

All of this is in the FAQ BTW

PS Many Rangers seem to look down on this kind of thing, this not a "Master or nothing" profession. You don't have to grind this one. You can get to Master just by going out and doing your thing, and you'll probably be a better Ranger for it.

/end

Please don't forget there are a lot of "Master or nothing" professions in this game. And for most of the crafting professions macro grinding is the reccomened way to get there. Check out the WS/DE/AS/Artisan FAQs. These are all professions that it is best to really learn your profession with a full set of schems and all 10 experimentation points on hand. They are a grind no mater how you do it, its just best to get it over with. I guess what I'm trying to say is not every one that comes looking for a macro isn't a stuipd lazy jerk. Most are but it could be just a habit they picked up from some other profession.

Not they you guys haven't been dealing with this waayyy longer than me Just my two cents while siting on hold for about.. beh I'm not looking at the clock... I don't want to know... I hate the cable company.

normally in relation to this, it's kind of funny when a posting like this shows up in the ranger board.

The reason?

If they had actually learned something in scout, they really shouldn't have a reason to ask this here.

heheh

Maybe he doesn't want to leave the camp lying around when he's done? I always store my vehicles before using a shuttle or logging. No, there's not much point (besides saving a few credits worth of damage) but I do it anyway. I like to dot my i's, cross my t's, and I don't like to use radial menus. Take it easy and stop being so judgmental.
