Again like calc said, this is the ranger forum and the boards are split up into forums that should contain relevant posts. If you want to comment on SOE community relations then go the community relations forum hehe. If you go there and comment on those topics then you are commenting as a player, not a ranger so it doesnt belong in this forum.

Yes rangers can have an opinion on the devs (possitive or negative) but its need to be put in the right place and when you talk about them things you are not talking in regards to ranger, you are talking about the game as a whole.

In principal I agree with that. However I have little respect for the CSR's who pretend to enforce it. This is because I have seen them delete "relavent" posts, to myself and others, and at the same time actively participate in so-called "non-sense" threads.

Ya that tread was mostly us just being um... silly like always.

I'm telling you it was the evil qoute, lol. The tread it came from was runing about 25 posts a min. It was way less OT than about 70% of the stuff here.

Need I mention all the monkey stuff?

It all depends on your definition of constructive. To some the spankin monkey thing is a waste of time thus being unconstructive, but for those like me who get amazed by things like cotton candy then it provides hours of enjoyment.

No sir, but the inference was made by others.

Besides, aren't you supposed to be at work or something?

There is certainly selective sensorship. I had an experience on the Alpha forum where this became clear. Basically, on all forums, there will be posts that do not deal directly with the profession at hand, but are usefull either as a distraction or as a source of conversation. The AS thread here served as the latter, and I for one am sorry it got deleted. Why can't we discuss other forums? I see no logical reason, especially if we discuss hats and camopants on a regular basis.

That's all I'm saying.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

FYI, most OT/Flamey/Trolly/Etc. threads, especially in low-profile forums don't get deleted UNLESS someone reports it to the mods. Prime example, I let many off topic threads go by as they are usually morale boosters (the monkey thread is still here, isn't it). I report each and every 'looking for a Ranger..' thread because they always lead to flaming. I reported the AS Corr thread in here yesterday becuase it was trying to incite anger (trolling) and really didn't have anything to do with Rangers, OR the Ranger community. If it had, I would not have reported it. I never got to see this mystery thread from this morning, but I am almost positive someone would have had to report it to get it removed as the mods really don't hang out here (they may also be extra vigiliant in looking for threads relating the AS fiasco, but trust me, there is a lot of work to be done on other forums).

I don't know Calc...GarVa has been a guardian angel the past week or so. Maybe he just enjoys reading posts that don't have numbers in places where letters are supposed to be and where the phrase asshats isn't used except in comical posts (such as this one). Or maybe theres' more than one GarVa. Will the real GarVa please stand up?

I think that discussion of ranger hats and hawtpants or monkeys is like garlic to a vampire for devs and moderators alike...
