Thread: Holo Master Ranger... In under 7 days...
They are darn close to 0,0 coordinates. Within 100m of 0,0
"I don't understand the low star rating of my post. It's good information for holo rangers."
It is indeed good information for Holo Rangers...
- But you mustunderstand that the Elders of this forum do not enjoy interlopersbelittling their chosen profession.
Things that get posted regularly in other forums are not always considered kosher by the regulars in this forum. ![]()
Maybe the holo chasers could get their own board.
*Goes back to playing a ranger because he wants to and not because a little cube told him to.*
"Maybe the holo chasers could get their own board."
Though, I can see why they want to escape the deluge of Jedi theorists. ![]()

I don't understand the low star rating of my post. It's good information for holo rangers. How to get it done quickly. I did not post any exploits or such. Hell I even stated that AFK camp macro is not worth it. Which is true.
The issue of "Which is the Right and Proper Way to Play an MMORPG" is a profoundly religious issue. Heretics are persecuted with a vigorous zeal that would make Torquemada green with envy.
Most people are incapable of truly seeing the world through another person's eyes and another person's perspective. This is patently obvious in any instance where someone says "You'll have more fun playing the game MY way." Of course, the "MY way" is never explicitly stated, but that's always what it amounts to.
What they fail to understand is that this is a patently false statement. Not everybody will have fun playing the game the same way. This should be self-evident. Not everybody likes the same books. Not everybody likes the same movies. Not everybody likes the same music. So why would everybody ALWAYS have the same kind of fun playing a game in a certain, specific way?
I have fun playing the game the way I play it. I don't twink. I don't power level. I don't do much in the way of AFK macro XP grinding (though I have done some). I'm not interested in Mastering as many professions as possible. I'm not interested in reaching Master level as quickly as possible. And I'm not interested in becoming a Jedi. This is how I currently define "fun" in SWG.
But I recognize that it may not be fun to anybody else.
As long as you're not griefing, exploiting, or otherwise negatively impacting my in-game experience, I frankly don't give a rat's backside how you spend your in-game time. You pay $15/month, same as me. If you're having fun, and you're not griefing, exploiting, or making a nuisance of yourself, then more power to you, I say.
Just my $0.02.
You could probley get master ranger in 2-3 days if you do it properly, thankfully i worked my way slowly through Ranger for pure fun.(Not counting the traps line). If you had the resources you could macro grind through the entire font line in meer hours easly. I belive you can get close to 100xp per craft( on higher lv camps, lower are still like 50. I went through doc crafting line on friends account in 3 hours from 0 to master). Scouting xp doesnt get any easier. Go to Yavin 4/Endor(more dangerous) and run in circles make wp's to hostle mobs. Could go up bothwayfaring & tracking in 1 day if that. But if your not holo grinding spend the time and enjoy ranger it's fun!

Your correspondant condones this attitude. If new rangers who don't take the proff as seriously as the rest of you is your biggest problem, I'm happy for you.
I can't believe you are shunning the new blood. Who knows, maybe he likes his time here and re-specs to master ranger after he's got his jedi?
Ranger will be my 6th mastery and this is the worst attitude towards the influx from holo-madness I've seen yet.
My last post on this self serving, elitist, closed-minded board,
Good day.

What you have to understand is that talk of "power-leveling" in THIS forum where there are playerswho chose this profession specifically to get away from this kind if gaming is an anathema. We are not like other forums, for us it's all about the journey, NOT the destination.

Agreed.
And as BeWary said quite succinctly:
- We are indeed self-serving and elitist.
The question remains though, who is the self ?
- Does the forum serve the Ranger profession as a game mechanic, something that is meant to be fast-tracked or circumvented?
- Or do we serve the players that have chosen Ranger as their home and community?
The reality of the situation is thatit has to bea bit of both...
- But when those two sides meet, friction will occur... Much like this thread.
