Thread: Getting lost
My guess is the designer was hoping to design mazelike dungeons but got stuck with houses instead.

IAnd I definatly have to agree with Washell. Whoever designed thelarge generic house, must have been laying down looking atthe design sideways. It absolutely makes no sense. I hate them with a passion, I can never find the damn door. This also goesfor any Naboo style house.

I can be dropped anywhere on Corellia and get back to a city w/o a WP. I know RIverlands particularly well, and have seen the rise and fall of several player cities there. My grind was mostly done between Kor Vella and Tyrena: used to walk up and down the map there. I used to have only those two cities for waypoints on my datapad.
Sense then I have gotten to know Rori and Talus almost as well. There are some "interesting" places there that are not listed on the POI list.
LOL yea, I started in Doaba Guerfel, and wandered between there and Kor Vella for the first few weeks. I know Corellia like the back of my hand also. I can honestly say I have explored all of Corellia, ON FOOT, you noobs.

The corvette, I just try to follow everyone else... its nasty up there and inevitably I get turned around and jumped by 4 stormtroopers.

"OK, I'll be there in a few."

Coronet, Theed and (was said perfectly above) anything that starts with Moss, I was running the hunt master (?) quests the other night and tried to ride my speeder bike thru town (only had an hour to play, and needed skull for decoration on house) boy was THAT a mistake. Now I know why I like to ride a dewback

I needed to get to a cloning center in coronet. I pulled up the over head map and I couldnt find it... so I typed /find
then selected cloning center. all of a sudden, not only did a waypoint appear, but a virtual ribbon pathway leading to the cloning center. I just followed the ribbon and made it to clone.

I can certainly tell that the cities were not designed for vehicles. Tyrena (that city causes me so many problems) is terrible for navigating in a vehicle. There are archways on all the main paths, and they are skinny. On top of that, they are at wierd angles, and sometimes have two offset by 30 degrees that you HAVE to travel through. Anyone who has been to Tyrena can back me up.
I must be lucky then, because I can usually navigate pretty well through Tyrena on my speeder (even without holding down the shift key so that I go into "walk mode" forit
).Of course, that might be because I'm on the West coast, playing on a West coast server and I usually have a ping under 100, so most of the time I don't get enough lag through the city that stuff pops up in front of me out of nowhere. That, and my constant use of the overhead map, especially while in the city.
But yes, I can vouch that they certainly did not design the city with them in mind.
