Thought not.

Wow, this ranks up there with rescue as useless.

Actually, I did

Riding my dewback, or bantha, high and mighty when I get aggroed by kreetles, my mount automatically slows down so i can shoot them.

On other occasions, the automatic slow down is a pain in the ass and then I need to give my mount the spurs to get the hell out of there

Not much in this game has been based on logic, but I just can't wait to see my bothan toon harvesting from atop a barackaset... how he does it, we don't know, it just happens.

On the other hand, I will be able to harvest the things I randomly kill when riding around Naboo. Kinda cool.

Mabye the said mount eats the meat, hide, or bone and barfs it back up in the person's hands?

Don't go logic...

Yet, now with the CUI do understand why artisans were given the option to survey and sample from a mount.

They now can no longer use weapons or armor, so the "getting off, do survey, do sample, get back on"-sequence makes them to vulnerable.

Well if logic continues, if they can sample, we should be able to harvest...

Or /maskscent for that matter...

I don't want to complain about the harvest thing, but instead point out that

"HEY, add /mask and /areatrack to the allowed-to-do-from-a-mount"

Actually, I used to do this quite often on Naboo. Granted, against the weaker MOBs of course, but with the new level system I expect to hunt Nightspiders and other creatures in that level-range while mounted.

I like it and imagine how people would have complained if they allowed people to craft entire sets of armor on top of a Bantha but not harvest a Chuba

I used to 'joust' with a friend when we were both working Fencer/Swords, just for a laugh. You can't use specials is all.

That and trundling across Mospic Plains my toon would auto-attack the hermits and I'd loot them for their dinner money. From the back of a mount.

It's these speed freaks that need to charge around on speeders that miss out on stuff, y'see.

And yup, gimme /mask /ar and /conceal from beastback.

Though if they are going down the 'cavalry' route they better get some formation commands in for SL's and a CHAAAARGE!! too....

Wishful thinking... more like you'll need a specially crafted bag for the.. uh... "other end" and then you get to dig through the "refuse"...

though the experience would be very akin to being a Ranger and sifting through what SOE leaves us...

Actually I do quite often. A quality T-21 is quite handy when mounted. My master rifleman has a very fast very powerful rifle that can take down mid level creatures and NPCs without dismounting. Not that I would hunt a Krayt like this but for basicday to day annoyances it can be fun.

or in pvp if a guy tries to run out in the water to get away from you take out his swoop (its always a bike........) while hes over the water. nobody ever expects that. or plink away at somebody from a mount after they have made a gank attempt. i don't care how fast you are your not out running my carrion spat over water.

Well.. technically not Tracking or /mask or /conceal while mounted, but this has sped up the process for me greatly...

I made 3 aliases (Aliases, if you are not familiar with them, are sort of mini-macros that you can create a /command for.)

While riding, just stop in one place, and use this:

/dismount;

/pause .5;

/mask;

/pause .5;

/target speeder;

/pause .5;

/mount;

That's it. You can increase the pauses depending on how much lag you tend to get. Change the /mask to /conceal or /areatrack to create all 3 macros. The only downside that I've noticed is that if you're near another speederbike or swoop, you occasionally target the bike that isn't yours, but that doesn't happen often.

Enjoy!

Ok I know I'm a bit late in this thread, but it just occured to me they still don't appear to have added the most obvious thing possible here, unless I'm missing something- the ability to converse while mounted.

You don't get it!

It's obvious not worth looking into.

I mean, let's face it... do you have such a loud voice you can top the roar of a av21 or swoop's engine?????

And pets, trust me, can also be very noisy, especially when you're not paying attention to them.

A terminal doesn't talk back, so that's doable, but talking as in conversing with others?

Not done

Actually with terminals, I'd have thought it'd of been tricky to reach the buttons

Imagine trying to reach down to an ATM from the back of a Kaadu or Bantha!

Yep, that's a surreal image to leave you with ...
