I would pick the Combat Mods. Reason behind this is I would rather be able to defend/attack better than to eat more. We should all know what foods we can eat/drink to get full and how long each lasts by now. If I remember right, I can get 12 different foods/drinks in me at one time for pvp, which to me is more food dependant than pve.

The reason I used the imagry I did is because we used to have this very system in game. If you were full, you could puke then refresh your spice (food was rather useless at that time).

Since you prefer sound reasoning, we just want to be functional. A generic modifier so it works with any weapon we choose that is always active is far more useful than an occassional ability to purge our system to take more of an item we have to acquire elsewhere. With such modifiers you could still use food to be more effective, however it would not require us to be dependent upon food to simply function. Of any profession, Rangers should be the most self-sufficient.

That's what I wanted to hear

Additionally, the idea that we pass on whatever we eat faster seems to be sort of a contradiction to the idea of the guy that is supposed to go on indefinitely in the wilds. "you can drink LOTS of brandy.." Yeah, that's what the camels are known for.

If any stomach changes should occur, it should be prolongedduration from foods, since we can presumably hold it in for much longer, and milk more of the effects that the ordinary joe.. which would be interesting for my master ranger master crafter template

i'd like to see more creature to-hit bonuses being thrown our way, so the sameweapon doing the sameattack wouldhurt animals much more in the hands of a ranger

i think onepossible reason why we dont get accuracy and defense bonuses is because there are (or could be) melee rangers as well asranged rangers, so they would either have toask you which bonuses you want or give both melee and ranged bonuses

Doesn't "general" ranged/melee def and "general" accuracy cover both melee and ranged types?

(Late o'clock, prolly wrong )

general means all weapons within a specific range type. There is no "General" accuracy, only "General" ranged accuracy or "General" melee accuracy.
