How about adding a camp type that enables players to call their ships in the wild?
(If this was suggested already, sorry!)
Well, the graphics are there, in the shape of the Borvo camps.
I don't know how quickly the game would be able to update the location of a 'movable' landing pad, but for take offs, yeah, why not.
In fact, if the shuttles were able to carry >150 items we could moonlight as removal men/women helping folk move house. Or, if the tent part had a vendor in, we could become travelling salesmen...
"roll up, roll up, get yer avian meat here... Am I asking 40cr/u? 20? No, just 10 cr/u but get it quick or am gone..."
I still have this nightmare that, post JTL, Rangers end up being the bus drivers of the galaxy. Hunt? Nah, I just gather roadkill...
1. Our area track is becoming useless as people use the /who command. Our area track should include faction results too.
2. Our camps are less valuable since you no longer require them to pull pets or vehicles. Our camps should have the same abilities as a cantina and a medical center. Especially the HTFBK. If it is a rebel HTFBK we should have a reinforcement call that has 3-4 NPC's or whatever is equivelant to our rebel rank same for imperials.
3. Our traps don't improve hunts enough to have people request us to go along. They should ensnare our targets. The traps should be able to be used against NPCs and players!! Make us valuable. If we are trying to "hunt men" then when we find them we should be able to trap them. Maybe even make it so BHs want us to tag along.
4. The camo should camo us so well that NPCs, animals, AND PLAYERS can not see us. Camo and cover from rifleman proff. should make us invisible. Thus the concept of a ranger.
5. Our harvesting should be NOTICABLY more than even a master scout. So much so that players WANT us to accompany them on hunts.
6. This proffession should be looked at as a NEEDED component for a sucecssful hunt. People should be spamming "Ranger needed PST!!"
7. It requires many skill points to master since it is an elite style proff. Make it worth our time.
8. Give us a special ability to infiltrate an area without being seen, or target and recon vuln times at faction bases or something.
9. If we truly are the most well travelled experienced outdoorsmen in the galaxy as our skill trees say, there should not be any creature or NPC in the galaxy we cannot escape. Furthermore there should not be any creature in the galaxy we cant kill or entrap to submission 90% of the time.
Believe me this could be one of the most exciting proff. in the galaxy if it was tweaked just a little bit.

Only part I didnt like is the one about harvesting all 3 types rather then more of 1 type. I have no need to harvest all 3 cause chances are high 2 of those are rubbish resources I want ranges to be able to harvest at lest 3 times that of a master scout with a Harvesting droid.
I do. many, many, many times had I had this I could have helped Architects and Armorours and Doctors alike. As it is now, I have to pick one or settle for half of both. Right now on Eclipse I can sell Carni meat and Leathery hide off of Rancors (triple 900 stats) but I cannot harvest both. Remember, you don't need quality to make a chair. You can get one creature having all 3 be good and in high demand. When this happens you would have to turn someone away, and that is lost business.

Lots of a single resource is better for a player's bank account. All 3 is probably better for the economy (providing a source of not so good resources for those who can't afford to pay for the high quality ones). But both are really needed.
I would argue that harvesting all 3 is is better for you bank account as well. You would not normally haveextra to sellto an architect, but now you can. On Eclipse there is little market for low-quality stuff and folks like the Architects get left out.

It is as long as the single harvest amount doesn't suffer. If you are getting 200cpu for avian and 10cpu for hides then youmight be better off harvesting 21 avian and 0 hides instead of 20 avian and 20 hides (only need to find one buyer). This case is a bit extreme but I hope it illustrates my point. If you can either harvest twice as much or harvest two resources, twice as much will yield more money. In some sick situations, harvesting even minimally more of one resource is better than harvesting multiple resources. The only way that multi harvesting has a chance of making more money is if the total number of resources gained is more than what you would get from a single harvest and the cpu is at a sensible level. I personally would rather see the 20/20 over the 21/0 harvesting rates but not everyone thinks like that.
