Thread: The Top 5 Bug Responses
I've said this before on several other threads and I will say it again because Charlswhitefeet brought the subject up:
It takes a special Breed of Person to be a trueRanger

Hologrinders are not Rangers, dabblers are not Rangers, those who master Ranger just to say they did it, are not Rangers.
Those who read these boards, and play the game Knowing they are a Ranger, Feelingthat they are a Ranger, Playing like they are a Ranger...those are the Rangers.
Yes we want some bugs fixed, yes we want some new and better skills suitable for Master Rangers,
but we still play as Rangers anyway.
I think Pharm defined the Ranger PERFECTLY.
Rangers are Rangers...as simple as that sounds...We are THAT...Rangers.
A good friend of mine, who I had the honor or training Master Ranger, is aways saying
"no one chooses to be a Ranger...it chooses YOU"
And to return to the subject...
here is a bug...decay rate of corpses...I am TKA and by the time i am done fighting a mob of Gurks or Huurtons or any other critter that takes a minute or so...the corpses vanish and i lose the harvest...
as a bug... it sux...if it is on purpose, it really sux
ok i'm done

Yes Rangers are a rare breed. And I only reference those that are ranger to play ranger, not those doing it for Holo, or to just get a profession what ever. I'm always very impressed with any of the "real" rangers I meet and play with.
But all that said, does not mean we should have a crappy profession, with bugs, and nothing that truely defines us other then the players themselves.
I have to bump it just so it doesn't get lost...it is a bug no matter why it happens...
Decay Rate of corpses

Me too...Bumpity Bump.....and guys...leave NRas alone...they guy cant exactly force anything to happen
A. Antarian Rangers, basically Modern US Military Spec Ops... I guess you can do this if you scatter points out between different professions, however.. We should get some Advantages in PVP provided to us by the natural environment....
B. Big Game Hunter... but guess what, nothing comes bigger than hunting something able to hunt you. You could argue this is the realm of Bounty Hunter, but the difference is this.. Bounty Hunters are out to make money.. a Big Game Hunter is out for the thrill of the hunt.
C. Frontiersman/Cowboy, I think of a Davy Crocket (American Folk Lore). A Bloke who is learned in Folk Medicine, Tracking, Scouting, a Critters... Some leadership abilities when in charge of a group (think of leading a wagon trail). Look at how the French Trappers lived in the New World, adopting Native Methods of Hunting, living, and tracking... Give an ability to Rangers that coincide with various planets.. Basically you would learn something the Kunga's on Dantooine do to survive, or when you Master Ranger, you learn some abilities of the Night Sisters (non-force related of course). Special Languages.. like Jawa and Tusken Communications... where we can trade with these tribes. Heck make go one step further.. Make it a Hybrid Profession... though it would limit what else you can do, use only novice professions to prerequisite (Novice Pistoleer or Rifle, Novice Medic, Master Scout
I honestly think giving the profession a Frontier idea would be great.. oh well, enough babble, must release my bladder...
