I personally don't, that's because my ranger is only a ranger to support my BE so all i harvest goes to my BE instead of being sold, I know other rangers who make a fortune harvesting good quality hides and selling them to armorsmiths.

I would recomend keeping an eye on swgcraft.com for the best hide spawned at the time and just harvest that constantly, armorsmiths are always after a good source of high quality hide and usually pay very well for it.

Also high quality meat, eggs and milk can be sold to BE's and or Chefs for a tidy sum too.

Or for less money you could sell all your low quality hide to tailors, they use a fair bit for their craft too.

Rangers have the potential to make quite a nice chunk of change. The idea is to become a critter resource supplyer to a guild, chef, BE, whateveror use your tracking abilitys for CH's n' such.

Almost every profession in this game can make credits IF it is played by someone who is really business minded (which is notably different than 'Greedy'). Personally I don't make much in terms of credits... BUT I will never have to pay for armor, food or stims again, because I have developed very solid working relationships with a few key crafters. They have the organics they need, and in return, I have the supplies to get those organics for them.

On a related note, organic resource prices have dropped through the floor on most servers... so you probably won't be rolling in the money as it was possible to do in the 'old days' of Doc buffs requiring Uber and hard to harvest Avian meats.

If you enjoy playing a Ranger, then yes, you can make a fair bit of credits (enough to live on). If you don't find a great satisfaction out of extended hunting expeditions, it'll probably just feel like a loooong grind session. If the latter is the case, then your probably better off just grinding money missions with guildies or something.

Never been broke yet, never been uber rich. Then again, am happy with waht I've got in the bank and, when I have a project in mind I can always raise the credits without too much trouble.

heh, on a good day I make 5-15 million credits off of animal harvesting. It usually takes me 3-4 hours to make that much though. On an average day whene I have creature orders, I can expect to make 2-3 mil.

I can't WAIT for my Creature harvesting CAs to unbreak.

In about 2 years as a Ranger, I've made about 400 million credits selling critter resources, and I only harvested when the price was greater than 75 cpu (and only harvesting for two or three buff sessions a week). If I'd spent any real time harvesting, I could probably have broken 1 billion credits by now. Granted, the days of bidding wars over resources getting into the 200+ cpu range are gone, but you can still make very good money.

As for camo kits, I've never seen any real demand for them.

Helps to have a couple friends in a guild willing to group with you, so you'll take in more harvesting per unit. Or at least that's what I usually do. That way they make a little money when I sell the whole stack and I make a buttload more money by using veghash, the group, and my master title to their fullest. Dealing with the grind is the hardest part, I think, since if you really don't like doing mission after mission with the people you're with it gets tiring.

I believe max cpu I tend to see on my server is around 35-40cpu, though it hovers around 20-25 for every day good quality resources. Get a calculator and realize you could be raking in the money.

as for camo kits now that greys don't aggro there isn't a real demand for them, and they break to often on any level for lower lvls top use them.

Once in a long while I make LOADS of credits, but there are long gaps in-between.

We had 2 post CU spawns of great Lok Leathery hide. I made 12 million credits.

A long time ago I made 9 million credits from a spawn of Dath Avian Meat.

The week before last I made 1 million credits after being offered 8cpu for the current spawn of Dant Wooly. I could have earned alot more but I got bored, then I managed to auction most of my loot so now I am not hunting at all.
