Thread: Do you....
Do you:
1. avoid towns excepting only to sell or resupply?
2. prefer to your paramilitary camo's or duster over that uber 70% kenetic armor in your pack that you never bother to wear? (this might only apply to rifleman)
3. disdain the use of a mission terminal?
4. prefer to use creature mounts over those noisy speeders when practical?
5. Solo most of the time or at best, only group with a small clicke of people youve grown to trust?
6. feel proud when you have a very large stack of organics in your pack?
7. roam around alot and never stay in one place very long?
8. develop hunting patterns and have specific areas you prefer to hunt far away from mission terminal lairs?
9. prefer natural lairs over mission lairs? (this is a no brainer. lol)
10. tend to be hard to find, even to guildmates half the time?
11. ever go anonymous while hunting because you don't want to be rude and turn down that track request tell from out of nowhere that you know will only end with you kissing the spawn tubes?
12. avoid using the title "tracker" and will use any other ranger title BUT tracker?

I don't mind towns. I like to people watch
2. prefer to your paramilitary camo's or duster over that uber 70% kenetic armor in your pack that you never bother to wear? (this might only apply to rifleman)
No camos or duster for me! Olive drab, but stylish outfit - Cold weather jacket, striped pants and sturdy boots - except on Tat, where I wear tan Pocketed short pants and tan desert command jacket with sturdy boots. Okay, not all the time. No armor
3. disdain the use of a mission terminal?
I use them often. Gotta make stuff spawn on Talus and Rori somehow!
4. prefer to use creature mounts over those noisy speeders when practical?
My green CuPa matches my green outfit.. lol
5. Solo most of the time or at best, only group with a small clicke of people youve grown to trust?
Solo, except when some other rangers want to group together for harvesting
6. feel proud when you have a very large stack of organics in your pack?
I look at my 50k stack and think "not enough.. Must... get.. more!"
7. roam around alot and never stay in one place very long?
yes
8. develop hunting patterns and have specific areas you prefer to hunt far away from mission terminal lairs?
Usually, but depends on the planet.. hard to avoid going far from the outposts on Dath and Yavin if natural spawns are low.
9. prefer natural lairs over mission lairs? (this is a no brainer. lol)
Prefer running on foot from natural lairs to the next, but I usually find mission lairs necessary
10. tend to be hard to find, even to guildmates half the time?
very
11. ever go anonymous while hunting because you don't want to be rude and turn down that track request tell from out of nowhere that you know will only end with you kissing the spawn tubes?
I guess everyone or their alt is picking up tracking (our city now has two ranger trainers, last I checked!?) because I've never been sent a tell, even with my title up. The requests that pop up in the RIN go ignored unless I'm not busywhich I usually am
12. avoid using the title "tracker" and will use any other ranger title BUT tracker?
I always keep the master ranger title up. I'm maxed on AP, but I still enjoy helping others if they need training in trapping, frontiering or survival. Still waiting to train another Master Ranger
Nope i mission up in towns or outposts also. I go on week long hunting trips only returning to buff up, travel, get missions. This is when im hunting of course, when im exploring im often gone for weeks without seeing a town.
2. prefer to your paramilitary camo's or duster over that uber 70% kenetic armor in your pack that you never bother to wear? (this might only apply to rifleman)
Krayt Enhanced Bone Armour all the way baby. I wear a brown work shirt under a bone armour suit minus the bracers and helmet, its part of my costume. I wear bone armour because it looks rangerish, and because it gives much more challenging hunts as you cant get hit as much. I wear my 90% comp for big hunts though.
3. disdain the use of a mission terminal?
I get so frustrated with /areatrack to the point i only ever use it on rare npcs/creatures or whilst hunting high level creatures that five a high harvest yield. Mission terminals are vital to my hunting technique at the moment, no matter how much i hurt to say it ![]()
4. prefer to use creature mounts over those noisy speeders when practical?
Like before my hunting technique allows me to harvest at optimal rate and it wastes as little time as possible. Using a mount isnt viable when contract hunting for me although i wish it was, even more so walking. I do use a mount when i am socialising though (Hendrix the CuPa)
5. Solo most of the time or at best, only group with a small clicke of people youve grown to trust?
Groups slow me down so i dont group for hunting contracts which kind of fits in with my idea ofwhat ahunter should be. If groups were more viable and fun i would take up the hunting guide and pathfinder role much more often, but when im out organic hunting, im solo and would like always to be. Group should be something else.
6. feel proud when you have a very large stack of organics in your pack?
Very proud and rich ![]()
7. roam around alot and never stay in one place very long?
Ive got a base of operations on Rori, Naboo and Corellia which hold certain items like food crates, loot and such. I hunt alot so move with the migrations you could say.
8. develop hunting patterns and have specific areas you prefer to hunt far away from mission terminal lairs?
Mission terminals on the whole are the best source to improve your harvest tield (except when fighting tough creatures)
9. prefer natural lairs over mission lairs? (this is a no brainer. lol)
Definatly
10. tend to be hard to find, even to guildmates half the time?
Always in touch through guild chat, and now RIN (thanks nemo)
11. ever go anonymous while hunting because you don't want to be rude and turn down that track request tell from out of nowhere that you know will only end with you kissing the spawn tubes?
Since Hunt Master title was 'robbed' from me ive been using master ranger title all the time.
12. avoid using the title "tracker" and will use any other ranger title BUT tracker?
Tracker title sucks balls, simple as. I was so angry that they got rid of hunt master for that peice of crap.
/calm Ok ill stop now before my anger boils over ![]()

Been there so many times, it's wearing a bit thin.

I go where the harvest takes me.

No ones saying "this is how you should play", the idea was to see how many people share similar traits. In other words, i was putting the saying, " ranger is a lifestyle" to the test. Its like, oh really? ok, lets find out.
of course the list i drew is not all inclusive, i do not pretend to insinuate any "standard" of gameplay. It was purely for fun. If anyone else wants to draw up a similar survey, go for it.
