Ranger Archive

Ranger is not a FOTM profession. There is no best template for solo-ing anything in game. The slight advantage we have now is merely by chance, and it will more than likely be edited out soon enough. Do not respec to ranger. You will not know it as well as someone who worked for it, and you will laughed at hence.

Jedi die quickly when trying to solo krayts, unless they are fairly high level.

Smugglers fair no better.

Hmm... you are asking this in the Ranger forum... but have no clue what you should be.

You may wantto contemplate artisan. There is a better than even chance Krayts would eat you.

.....we're hermits. to join our club you have to actually have a use for the profession other than Krayt pwnage. Here's our card...look us up when you actually WANT to be a ranger.

and yeah, smuggler/BH/pistoleer can solo krayts with ease, i watched one do it right next to my guild hall. it took him a while with a scatter, but he did it.

smugglar will soon be fixed wonder if its possible with just mbh and m pistol

Rangers can currently solo krayts, but it's due to a bug which will hopefully be fixed soon. Many respec'ers are flocking to ranger thinking they'll have teh ub3r loot-wh0re template, and they will be disappointed. The sooner the better. Hence the tone of all the responses you've received thus far. If you want to be a ranger, by all means be a ranger, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. However, if you want to be a ranger because you heard we can solo the big bads... might wanna think otherwise.

First let's be clear, it is Krayt. It's pronounced the same as crate. It is not cry-at. Just recognize where the "a" and the "y" are in relation to one another to confirm.

And to answer your question:
Smuggler would be required for the crowd control abilities, try there. If you want to rule them out, then no one should be able to solo krayts.
