Unless you need to blast your way though a group of level 80's for a quest, or are taking down a base or some such, do you mostly hunt solo or in a group?

And for those that usually hunt in a group, do you ever actually use rescue?

I personly like to do a bit of both. Some solo some group. But just out of wondering, why do you want to know? oh and /rescue is broken with the CU. it requires the resucey to /peace but there is no /peace and the description says its only usable against NPC now....so we really don't know if thats true due to the brokage..

hope that helps

Just curious. I'm more of a solo type, but I just wanted to get a feel for which way the majority lean.

If I'm leveling one of my characters I join a group. Once I'm fully leveled I go about 95% solo. I'll only group for guild hunts and to help with quests.

I'm almost a pure solo hunter, but that's just my playstyle. I played solo in Asheron's Call, Anarchy Online, DAoC, EQII (that didn't last long), WoW, EVE Online, and a few others (Shadowbane was painful to me cuz I had to group). SWG is THE game where I've found that I'm most effective soloing. That, and the fact that I've always been a Star Wars geek (thanks Mom, for getting me the toys when I was a kid and setting me down the road of Geek-dom hehe), means that I'll be soloing happily on SWG for quite some time to come.

I like the fact there are other real people to interact with in the world, especially if one of my friends comes on. It's nice to be able to show off my new stuff. But as far as hunting goes, like I said above, it's just the way I am. Which is why I prefer the "Ranger Lifestyle," no matter how gimped it is.

Boy, that's more answer than I was expecting to give.

I play solo 98% of the time. I've played this way since Beta 3 and enjoy it. Also, since I only play an hour or two every few days its easier do my own thing rather than spending time puting a group together.

Solo 95% of the time, I prefer to explore and do things at my own pace. Groups get tired of me wandering off all the time to see what's over the next hill.

I'd have to say I solo about 75% of the time. I usually don't refuse a call to hunt in a group of someone asks, though; the amount of creature resources lying around after a term mission in a group tends to be obscene...!

Never really used rescue; and even if they fixed it tomorrow I wouldn't. My rifle tends to deal enough damage that creatures have no problem ignoring their current targets and heading right towards me...!

I like to group when im going for creature resources because of the bigger lair spawns. Unfortunately with the level based system the amount is tied to creature level, so tracking and hunting wild spawns give poor results. But I cannot always get people to group to take down specific critters I need to get at, so thats when I say the heck with xp and solo lairs by trapping and sneaking around, which is great fun in a whole different way. I created my Ranger toon because to master Doctor on my main, I had to give his Scout skills up and realized how much fun I had with them and missed them. Once I got the alt rolling on scout I wanted to go all the way to Master Ranger. I enjoy the attempt at being a great Ranger, even though most of the time I probably amquite abad one! what i have never done is go on a hunt with a group of Rangers... I'd love to do this because it'd be neat to compare notes and get pointers from everyone, as I believe I am the only master Ranger in my guild...if you guys do things like this I would appreciate it if I could tag along some time
