Thread: Problems with areatrack?
Ok so here is the situation. I'm on Endor right now on Lowca hunting for the carnivore meat. As I'm walking to my second mission I stumble across a Nest of forest gurrecks and a Nest of cowardly gurrecks about 150-200m apart. I decided to take the forests first in case one lair despawned because they give more meat. So once I finished off the lair of forests i hit area track because at that time i had forgot about the cowards.
Areatrack finds nothing so i start heading to my mission and after i walk about 50m the cowards start to show up on my radar and then thats when i remembered they were there. When i hit areatrack I couldn't have been more then 250m away and they didnt show up.
I decided to try areatracking a few more times and one of the times it seemed to be working but the 3rd time i tried it i areatracked and had nothing i walked about 100m and came across 3 nests, i walked back 100m and tried it and only 1 nest showed up.
Is there something wrong with me, areatrack or maybe Lowcas spawns?
Calculus, can you please clarify. Was this only just brought up or did you give them a reminder?

FYI,I just brought this up on the Corr forum.
Thats how track works in this game.
Basicallyanimals/NPCaren't going to track unless
a) it is already on the radar
b) it is a static spawn
c) it is by another player
d) it has been created/spawned in the last 40 seconds
My problem with Area Animal Track is that I get animals on the tracker and then they disappear![]()
Happened alot with Snorbals today.
Funny story:
I was trying to help a guildie track down this wookie in the Rryat trail canopy, for a quest he had. We found him, alright, but not "visually." I areatracked him, and stood within 4 meters of him according to my areatracking, but he was no where to be found. I tried to /target him, but that didn't return anything, not even an error message.
Because waypoints can be made on one point of the trail, and when you select "view waypoints only in this region," it shows them in another trail area, I concluded that the wookiee in question was on another level, but at that same waypoint on it.
