Since they've taken away so much of the need for camps.. why not allow Entertainers to heal Battle Fatigue in Field Bases?

TH "To allow camps to heal battle fatique would remove a reason to go into the cities and cantinas"
Thats why because they dont want to devalue the big cities. And i can understand that. Now with that thinking isnt there a way jedis can heal their own BF now?

I don't mean any camp, but the big field bases. Would give added value to taking ranger to master.

Rright I don't think there are enough Master Rangerettes/Rangers out there to be hurting the Cantinas at all.

Makes perfect sense to me. You have crafting stations, a (unfortunately non-functional) chess table (or whatever the game is called in Star Wars) and plenty of space. It is like a mini city in the first place. I agree you should be able to heal bf with those.

I can see it now..."Let's find a Ranger with a HTFB and call out a Dancer so we don't have to go in to town anymore!!!"

Wonder when the last time was TH wandered into Tyrena on my server? Or, more simply, any non player city other than Coronet and Theed.
Ah well, a poor excuse is better than non.

Remember im just the messenger in this case. I think that Base Camp's should have some meaning above the lower level camps. They require more resources, although the HTFB requires a lot fewer then the thing looks like it needs, and it should be something like bf healing. I mean battle fatique as defined way back when was "The effects of being out in the wilderness and seeing no civilization forcing you back into the cities for some needed R&R". But if an HTFB has a chess table, bar-bq, some nice closed off bungalows and such. It should naturally lower bf. Even if its just at the same rate as wounds heal 10 per whatever time period.

Here maybe Calc can take that quote above and throw mine at TH.
To allow anyone to have a med bot, and to allow anyone to pull out speeders and pets with out camps, devalues the need for camps "completely". And considering now since his statement, Entertainers have been given the ability to mind buff, way more people go into town for that now, and so there is that huge thing keeping people going to cities. This game changes to much for those kinds of statements like TH to stay valid for long.

Well, a cantina isn't the only reason these people go into town. There's shuttleports, spaceports, banks, the bazaar, med centers, ID tents, docs selling buffs, and to check out the latest prices and items via all the spam
The cantina is only one of the factors that keep cities populated.
What they could do is add a modifier to the Master Ranger skill box that allows HTFB to heal BF. This modifier doesn't have to be equal to that of a Cantina, but at least something to bring it down when off in the boondocks of Dath or Endor. We all know the higher the BF, the faster it accumulates, and the more it effects our combat. Having to stop your hunt and travel 4000m+ to the nearest cantina and back becomes a drag sometimes.
But then again, if they do introduce something like that, you'll never see me in another city again. By the time I come out of the wilderness, I'll have a Master Hermit tag

I have always thought that BF should be healed when in the more advanced camps of Rangers, but the Devs are afraid of destroying reasons to go into towns. I have never believed this would stop players from going into towns and now with player cities this reasoning just doesn't hold up. People have not abandon the original cities to use only their own cities or only player cities for the healing of BF. I would never use a camp if you are really close to city and cantina, it just does not make sense, like it doesn't to use the camp for healing without a doctor if you are near a city.
But camps that are used on the remote planets should always allow BF healing. I don't know how many times I have run back to one of the outposts or science outposts and couldn't find an entertainer to save my character's life. So at least on the more dangerous and remote planets where there are only a couple of original outposts they should allow camps to heal you. It can be slow, like healing and entertainers should be able to advance the speed of healing while they are in the camps, which would make entertainers all the more important on missions and huntin ventures.
Just my thoughts!

I will direct your attention to the "Modular Camping" idea which proposed that a Master Musician or a Master Dancer could craft a "stage module", which, when placed in a suitably high-level camp, would allow for the healing of BF and the ability to buff in the wilderness.
Plus, do the devs really think that it could affect musicians or dancers? I don't know about you but I don't know a way that a macro'd dance or song could really work in the wilderness. You'd have to have someone w/ a camp macro...and no one would be able to find your camp...unless it was near a city entrance....thus making the cantina just as valuable....
but yeah...I like modular camping and it likes me.
