Hi all,
I was wondering if any of you can tell me if Camouflauge adds to Mask Scent or is an ability on its own...??
Thx in advance!

Its an ability of its own. If you're masked, then you can't apply camo and vice versa.
Camoflauge requires a camo kit to made in order to apply it to yourself and onto others. Camo kits are specific to each planet and its creature resources and all require a certain type of meat, hide, and bone (i.e. carnivore meat, animal bone, leather hide). Its in the schems.

Camo is separate from Maskscent.
With Camo, you have to a different kit made for each planet you visit.
With Wayfairing I, you get kits for Tatooine, Corellia and Naboo.
They have to be made from the local materials found on the respective planets.
They tend to last a little bit longer than Maskscent (in my experience).
You can /conceal another person to get them past 'aggressives', either creatures or npc's.

One additional thing to the above posts is that camo will not stack on top of masking when your responsible for the camo of a group and someone already masked their scent - you wont be able to 'overide' their mask unless they take it down themselves.
I've been on large hunts where I was responsible for the camo of the entire group - and some actually *refused* a master's camo... Go figure... On dathomir of all places too!

My hunting groups never turn it down anymore. They have learned how good it works especially for the ranged fighters. Im starting to think of applying to myself as a master ranger since its not breaking like my mask scent.

I agree. I just had my mask scent broken three times by ... fuzzy jaxs of all things (I was hunting for mammoth jax babies for a friend). I didn't have time to make a camo kit so I relied on mask scent. I was broken three times in succession, less than 10 seconds after reapplying, and I had just mastered ranger before heading to Rori
. Needless to say, those poor little fuzzy jaxes learned some new words this morning

Thanks for all your info guys. Now I have one last qustion, I m planning on going 4-0-0-0 ranger and would like to know if I cn still apply an dathomir camo kit to myself, if it is made by a master ranger, or do i need the skill to make it in order to use it?
And last....when I apply a camo kit does it get broken like mask scent, or will it stick for a certain amount of time and no creatrure detects you during his time??

back in the old days you may have been able to, but i dont think you can now. i tried using more advanced camps and traps than what i was certified for and it would never let me. so im guessing its probably the same for camo kits. but ive never tried it so i could be wrong.

Last I knew, you could apply any camo kit as long as you had the /conceal skill....

Sure, or else I can just conceal my Doc buddy and and set him loose on some Pikets... I did it in the past, and I know it was possible when milking was first implemented, but I am not sure if that is still so...

yeah, please check.
Still one question open...does conceal with a camo kit get broekn like mask scent? I read here in the ranger forums, that conceal and camo kits are currently bugged and are ALMOST as good as master scout mask scent, is that true? Since the only reason I would be going for ranger is the camo and conceal ability.....
