Heh.. and before you start dishing out the hate I am addressing this to future jedi/Rangers who are FS and will soon be Jedi. I would much rather discuss this with Rangers than with current jedi. The posts about their profession being broke are so horrible. lol... They have no clue what its like to deal with a gimped profession. Heh. I also dont think you have to be FS or want to be jedi to give imput on this discussion.

I was wondering what template you are entering into padawan with? I'm heading in with Master Rifleman/Master Pistoleer Scout 4040. I will start dropping Pistoleer as I begin gaining skills.

Also, I was wondering about what your alts will do? Even what race you will consider. Of course Ranger will be top on the list but I was wondering what everyone might use their alts for? I was thinking Master Rifleman/Tracker and a few points used in Artisan/Merchant.

My plan for my alt is to sell everything that Kai has but what a jedi would need. Since possessions are forbidden.. blah blah blah. So as to fund the jedi. I am gonna do the alt as a total newb. No help from my guild or my main. Gonna do it the old fashion newbie way.

I just wonder how many people are even considering Ranger/Jedi.

Tracking, traps, harvesting on the side, TN, and camo. Although you'd be missing out a lot on defenses and such.

MRanger/TKM, I only have 4 skill points left with this, which have all ready been used. For now I am not gonna drop anything, just try and bank all the fsxp that I need to finish. When the time comes, I was hopeing to drop tkm first....if Ranger gets some love by then. The thing that I see when becomeing a paddie, is you don't wanna be cl 80 when you start woriking on paddie, it seems you will not be able to take out the high lvl mobs to get the xp ya need. It seem to me that one would allmost wanna drop all their combat, so you will be able to kill within your lvl. Not really sure what I am gonna do, butI will cry the day I have to drop MRanger. I personally think it is bad that you have to drop all the skills you've worked for years to aquire, just to be Jedi. IMO Jedi should have it's own skill point structure.....same with fs, I have been working hard to get my fs skills, and with my perfered templet (which happens to be 2 of the most post c-u nerf's ), i can only use 4 of them.....shame.

11 boxes filled, one 4th level. Pretty close on another two, then I run out of SP. Then I store and will drop Master and Survival to gain the rest in one fell swoop.

I am gonna carry MBH and some carbines into the trials. Frankly, with pdarts kicking butt - killing animals is a breeze. Although there are disbelievers - (ahem - 5 ancients soloed yesterday alone) - poop on them. No way am I gonna lose areatrack and traps tho.

My alt is gonna be a Rodian, short and uglee as all get out. He will be a Ranger/Riflegeek. I am tired of the Ranger/BH combo. I have a name picked out, but doubt the Devs will allow it. But one never knows.

heh, I've been thinking about this for quiet some time now. I've got 4 out of 6 unlocked and am currently Ranger/Rifleman. I was thinking of keeping Master Ranger and just using the Rifleman skills for Jedi stuff. Since I don't like PvP in this game I would go 0404 in LS and the rest into defense skills like 0140 or something. I've been told Force Aura is the stand alone defense system so it seems good to me. I just can't stan the thought of ditching Master Ranger, but using a LS instead of a rifle would be way cooler.

I am at 0 skillpoints right now so I am banking my FS xp until I can go it in one swell foop, like JB.

Which will probably take me the next 10 years.

I've decided not to plan my template yet, since everythig is likely to be different when I actually get there. If I was to go emotionally though I would probably pick up the skills I feel are most rangerly. My FS template is Master Reflexes and two lines of combat prowess. Reflexes because I have always thought of Paks, and Rangers in general, as the athletes of SWG. In Jedi I would probably pick up force run (burst run), the poison resist line and some toughness, maybe the animal calm skill and as much lightsaber as I could hold. Probably can't take all of that with the skill points available so I would have to balance it.

I'm harvesting a lot for my alt that's planing to go BE soon.

Master Ranger Master Squadleader here, so far I nearly have three FS Wilderness boxes. Pointless I know, but from a RPG-perspective I think it's nice. One of the finest Rangers in the galaxy

Don't know yet which way I will go in dropping my current skills. But my alt will probably take over and become Master Ranger Master Squadleader - if I ever become a jedi.

Ithe character that i'm going fs with is a mr/mch. i have 24 sp left over for fs. that's just dandy. I'll be master reflexes and 4004 in defenses. My alt will most likely be a ranger/something. want to try something new with him.

doing the one fell swoop method myself ...

gonna get paddy for a while, and an alt. The alt will be a merchant/ doctor...

I really miss my ranger consortium, and i want to set that up again.
