Thread: What do you master rangers take as a secondary profession?
I personally go mainly for CH but a lot of people master a marksman/brawler elite class. If you do go CH, you will still need to get some fighting skills to be effective. The pets don't dish out much damage to the bigger mobs (heavy armor mobs and such). They become more of a tank then. Although you can always just go in a group. But don't make your decision based on what other people say. There is nothing wrong with picking up artisan/medic/entertainer skills. Just choose something to complement your play style (but be warned that you will not be able to get Master Ranger and Master Doctor/Combat Medic, although you can get Master Ranger and Master Dancer or similar skills). In general, you can have 3 mastered professions plus a few miscellaneous skills.

Master Ranger/CH (4/4/2/4)/Rifleman (3/0/0/0)
Eclipse Server
Master Ranger
1-4-1-4 Marksman
2-4-4-3 Pistoleer with the goal being master pistoleer.
Once I master PIstoleer that leaves me with 0 skill points remaining
And for those asking why the rifles 1 and carbines 1 in marksman? Its because with Pistoleer mastered I'd only have 4 skill points left which isn't enough to spend anywhere else but those two skills, so I did it for the heck of it ![]()
Master Ranger
Pistoleer
3/3/4/3
Marksman
3/4/0/4
But might drop a few ranger skills, I don't use any of the higher traps, camps are useless, our burst run is no different than a scout.... Guess ranger i not the way to go till we are fixed.
I like to give the animals a fighting chance... so I am a Ranger / Carbineer.
