I'm a level 31 rifleman, and I am getting kicked by level 27 characters. Can you just not solo in this game anymore? If I do anything less than about level 20, I only get 1XP per kill (as opposed to about 200 for doing level 21 guys). Seriously weak. I assume, since everyone's looking for a level 81+ challenge, that not everyone is having this problem - what's the deal, yo?

The secret is to keep them from catching you. Use your phen. darts to your advantage. That is, figure out what the timing is and use the traps to keep creatures rooted and snared. When one trap wears off, throw another one and keep any knockdown specials you have in reserve in case the trap fails.
There might be an issue right now where the trap works too well - that is, sometimes critters get perma-stuck - and that might be fixed (or it might not), so get used to timing the traps so that you can land a new one when the old one wears off. Also use your other traps to put states on the critters that reduce the amount of damage they do to you (dizzy, intimidate, and stun) I think if they catch you.
Use spice (nuetron pixie) to increase your health, action, and regeneration rates. Get some dodge food, and get some food to increase your ranged accuracy and your melee defense. Also, consider getting some melee and ranged defense clothing - it caps at +25, but every bit helps.
Don't take on more than one creature at once -- use your traps to pull a critter from the herd and then take that one down out of range of its buddies.

Anything good on Yavin, or at least challenging?
Yavin eh?
Not a whole lot that puts up much of a fight there, although maybe the Black Sun NPCs are tough, i dunno about them, but then again, Phen Darts won't work on them...
Acklay has a badge now. You'd do well getting down the cave that far though. If you can solo the Kwi 'blob' before the first door you deserve a /sodeepmyheadistouchingthefloorbow

And good food, and make sure you're wearing Battle armor or Recon armor to fit the enemy you are fighting, and make sure that he stays at range from you, and use a trap throwing droid if you don't want to take the time yourself to throw a trap.
