Deforest Kelley died years ago, and I saw James Doohan at a convention a few years ago and he looked fairly frail.

Scotty was not only a Engineer. he was a Ranger just like all the other members of the original Star Trek universe. For they boldly went where no one has gone before. Like us Rangers they explored the galaxy to discover new things and new civilizations.

He was always one of my favorites and the early Star Trek was one of the shows that fuelled my young imagination. He'll be missed.
