Thank you all for your advice. Since there is total concurrance on the issue, I will be going Master Ranger (Which I just acheived last night, yay me!) and Master swordsman. I'm sure it will be a long grind, but it will be worth it. And I will work on the second tree first. My few remaining points will go to novice medic, and either First Aid or Diag 1.
Thanks again

Hey all,
I've been playing for about 2 months. I will be a master ranger by the time most of you read this. After that, I have to decide where to use the rest of my skill points. Please give me feedback on what you guys think. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them, as I'm sure most of you have a lot more xp with the game then me. My combat prof. is swordsman
Master Scout
Master Ranger
Novice Brawler 0040
Novice Swordsman 4040
Novice Medic 4411
If anyone thinks there is something else I should be be looking into please let me know.
Thanks
Oye - SO close to Master Ranger on Blooodfin!

swordsman 4040...
let's see: slow like hell, bad accuracy, not certed for swordsman's best kinetic damage weapon (scythe blade), no access to 2handheadhit2 / 3
Bad idea, go master swordsman (actually there's rarely much point to not master your only combat prof).

Ok I ma master tka/ranger with surplus points in novice creature handler just for fun.
Looking at your template I would suggest mastering swordsman and dropping most of your medic skills to get the points to master swords.
Bearing in mind that most of the time you will be fighting buffed, the medic skills you have from your template don’t do much to enhance your characters effectiveness or survival ability, whereas master swords will significantly improve you kill time when out on harvesting contracts.
Novice medic with pharmacology 1, will allow u to use stim a/b`s in case of emergency. But in a real emergeny you woudl get more benefit from having some pixie on your tool bar , so no need for medic at all .
However I have found that with a good set of buffs lasting 3.5 hours you really don’t need any medic skills, based on a PVE template, if you want to PVP then your current template is just a direct route to the clone centre anyway
So master swords drop down your medic to novice with pharmacology 1 would be my advice
Cheers

theres no reason to grab only pharm 1, you can use stim b's at novice medic.
You'd have to go up to pharm 3 to use stim C's and then you need a doc that makes Stim C's with med use 30

Regarding your Novice Medic 4411 choice
I guess I'm just repeating what others have said. Drop it all but novice medic and you'll be able to master swords.
I'm a master ranger/rifleman with only novice medic. With that, I can still use some very well made stim B's (they can be made with a 5 medical use, which is what you have at novice) and am able to heal over 400+ damage.
You can always get some clothing with bonuses to injury treatment, I believe, and increase your ability to heal even further without the cost of skillpoints.

as trin says u dont have to take pharma 1 , but bearing in mind that master ranger/swords and novice medic will leave you 3 pare skill points you may as well use them in pharma 1

I'd get the first box in the second tree in medic. Can't think of the name...bah.
anyway, that increases your speed, which is good during combat, especially if you're unbuffed.

well actually pharm 1 wont do anything for you
, better spent grabbing either first aid 1 for a slight boost in how much damage you heal or as phenix recomends, diag 1 for the small speed boost inhealing damage
Personally I'd recommend first aid, but thats really a matter of personal opinion ![]()

as far as I understand it, first aid applies only to wounds that are /tended...not /healed.
I could be wrong, but I still would rather do speed since I can add it into my combat window faster.

just so you know: (from the medic faq)
- Skill Mod: Injury Treatment - Increases your ability to heal damage by this percentage. A bonus of +10 grants a 10% bonus to damage healed.
- Skill Mod: Injury Treatment Speed - Decreases the wait time between heals (damage only, not wounds). A bonus of +10 would allow you to heal 10% sooner.
