seriously... when do we get feedback or do we just have to keep submitting ideas into the void?

Be careful..you may anger the void

But seriously...this is bogus. Unless I read into things wrong the correspondants would be here to gather our information ...things we thought needed fixing...take that to the dev for each profession...get feedback...and give it back to us.

No offense minera...i respect what you are doing. I however disagree that you are supposedly not allowed to give us this info...the info of what is to be coming to us.

I am ok if other things need to be worked on. But what are we talking about here...1 more week, 2 weeks, a month? Around the time of the space expansion.

Personally if we are not able to hear the ideas of the devs, the progress we are getting to....I fail to see a point hanging around....other then to cut my check at the end of the month to pay yet another credit card bill. This just doesnt seem right to me...and I mean no disrespect to you Minera....but we need to hear something on this.

Mineras probably had to agree to a contract not to leak any information regarding fixes and when they will be released. My guess is they like watching us suffer and laughing hysterically in their offices together reading our post. Hmmmmm smells like OSI dev team of UO they would just stand back and throw rocks at the server when there were problems.

Oh please, montyplease (whoa, that's freaky).

I believe the dev asked Mineras not to share the info in an attempt to assist Mineras in reassuring us Rangers that 1) the devs are listening and 2) help is on the way.

To infer that Mineras is hiding something out of pleasure is just inane. (No that's not insane spelled wrong, look it up if you have to.)

Ok... let's say Mineras gives us the feedback from the Devs for what they have planned for Rangers. How many of you would then be complaining that it isn't happening fast enough? I think Mineras made the right decision to not post all the info from the devs. And maybe a previous poster is right, maybe the developer made Mineras promise not to post anything from him until later.

I'm not asking for Mineras to cough up any info...

I would like to see an official response from the Ranger Dev that equates to something more than just "Thanks for the feedback"...

I'd like to see a small post by the Ranger dev once a week to sum up whats being discussed at SOE so we can comment on those items and add helpful feedback on a topic that will greatly effect us.

It could be something as simple as:

Ranger Dev Notes:
Discussed adding craftable functionality to camps
Considering posibility of offensive camps
Working on a solution to reintroduce /conceal as a camoflauge skill
Discussing possible changes to make /rescue more effective and less dangerous...

If I saw that every week... I'd at least know SOMETHING more than... "Great Ideas Guys..."

mineras said theyre working on it and thats good enough for me...right now. he said that the updates would NOT be in the next major update. if thats all the time frame the devs gave him, why isnt that good enough for you?

and if you dont like not knowing, then drop the profession. easy as that. i like playing a ranger, and will continue to do so EVEN if nothing is done to the profession.

Your asking for a bit too much Xion. I really dont see a dev posting here, it sort of defeats the purpose of having a coorespondant. No doubt Mineras has gathered our issues well, but I too feel like they have been thrown into a black hole. I believe it's Mineras' job to keep the lines of communication open with the dev, and it's especially important to give us the feedback. Its not going to change my mind about playing the profession one way or another, I just expect more from my coorespondant than some of you sheep.

Ok, so nobody pile on Mineras, he's doing a good job all in all, but Im very disappointed that we havent learned squat since this whole 'correspondant' thing started 3 weeks ago.
Basically, what it comes down to is that he got nothing from the dev, so he got nothing to give us. Plain and simple. Doesnt seem like there's an open line of communication, IMO.

/agree

Mineras, why dont you just tell us what you got. Other correspondants post their dev replies. What satisfaction are you getting sensoring this feedback from the profession? Doesnt make sense....

The main problem with the way it is now is that 2/3 of our feedback is useless. We cant give any useable feedback other than what was given on week 1. The top 5 issues are still the top 5. We cant progress any of the discussions about our problems until we know what is being looked at, and judge based on that.

Basically until we get some form of specific feedback we are just submitting the same problems over and over, which if were honest is a waste of time.
