Whats it gonna be folks? I think after the information we got from those in attendance at the Fan Fest ...we might want to take the gloves off and be a bit more blunt, but thats just my opinion.

If they are going to answer at all, our last 'answer' wasnt very clear, butI digress. I would like to know when our traps are going to be looked at and if we are going to get atleast one more at Master level?

I am with you this. There seemed to be a large amount of apathy coming from the Devs about our input. I would really be interested in finding out how many developers play the game on a regular basis and are rangers. It does not sound like they hear or understand our frustration. There are something that can be done that do not require a whole lot of time or effort on the devs part. They are just choosing not to do it. It just slays me that other professions/races have complained and received things that are just way out of touch with the Star Wars Universe, but for us who don't complain as vigorously about fixing the things that have been wrong with our profession from the get go, we get the shaft.

There is a huge amount of double-speak coming from the dev camp, and I wish they would get their act together. They say they want this game to parallel the SW universe closely but they allow things that are so against the grain of the universe (wookie armor, melee weapons that shame ranged weapons, poisoning, etc.) Yet the one story of a Ranger/Hunter in the Expanded SW universe (last story in "Tales from Jabba's Palace), the Ranger/Hunter (Doallyn) one shots a Krayt Dragon with a pistol and harvest 5 pearls from it and that ability is not even close to being in the game. I guess that attempt is the creature-to-hit bonus which adds up to nothing really in the game. And the devs tell us that we are not getting anything else that allow us to more than what we can.

Maybe the gloves do need to come off. Maybe the devs need to be more in tune with what they are working on then their own personal agendas for the game. Maybe just a little courtesy to the people who contribute to the profit margin would be a good first step. Thedevs now have got to realize that the origianl devs put the ranger professionin the game for a reason. Let's work together on getting reason fleshed out and implemented.

Dev's, please, just a little head nod our way would go far in fostering a good relationship between you, the manufacturer, and us, the user.

Sincerely,

Stasch Qel-Droma

I wouldn't recommend any "when" or "if" questions, because we already know, that they don't know the answer to those. The answer is: ranger is going to get some love after all that other stuff that is already on their plate is done.

My suggestion would be to ask a question about some aspect of ranger that isn't well understood, and try to get an answer on that. You know... a question, and an answer, not a "I wish we had that" kind of statement.

Some things off the top of my head:

1) clarity on the whole /conceal on NPC thing (how it works, not some statement about "can you make it work like...")

2) perhaps ask about the business of how camps repel aggros

I dunno, I'm kinda drawing a blank, but something where we'll gain some additional useful knowledge of the profession, rather than one of the "you'll get it when it's done" canned answers.

personally, here's what I think:

"Where is our /Track skill?" I really really want /Track!

if I already have it and didn't notice, please forgive my ignorance everyone, and I'll make sure I find it when I get home from work.

I kind of like this one, butI would focus on the double talk (ie. when proposed to US by the devs we were told it would work on NPCs, when we got it it did, the description in game says it is supposed to work on NPCs, but the devs told us it was never intended to work on NPCs). The question is how would we phrase it (I reserve the right to decide that another question is better than this one ). What other questions do you guys like? Feel free to bring up previously suggested questions again, in this thread, so I don't have to look back in the older threads .

We realize the DE in charrge of a Ranger revamp is swamped at this time. Rangers request a significant increase in harvesting. Coding is easy and it will greatly improve our time in game while we PAITENTLY wait for a revamp. Possible? Yes or no and why.

I would happy with just this small, and it is a small, request.

No offence Calc but I cannot accept that answer. So what you are saying we will see nothing for at least 8 months? Im sure they will throw in anothe ID revamp in there also.

That is just my opinion, but I think it is a good estimation when we will get anyhting...I will give the harvesting thing a nudge again, as well.
