Thread: Group of two Master Rangers

So Kari and I grouped today. Opposing Colonels, both Master Rangers, except one of us had the good sense to go on leave (moi). This is what we found.

Harvesting - we both got the 40% bonus, I guess from one another. Massive amounts of hide, especially when using veghash. With only one MR in the group, the non ranger got the bonus 40%, the MR got the 20% grouped bonus. But this may be fixed, so we can deal.

Spawns - can't swing a dead cat on Dath. Well ya can, but you will hit something. We were doing the walk and slay deal. We were racking up on XP and harvest.A lot more spawn than yesterday, even to the point I saw semi rare stuff as spawn (thune).

Faction - as someone wasn't on leave, two people got their butts kicked by some Rebel NPCs (hint, Kari and Goat). I could not heal them, even tho I was grouped and on leave. Could after the TEF flag went away. Made for some interesting looting, as I got money from dead rebels (I felt so dirty). The NPCs are not to be trifled with either. They are now genuine bad azzes. Wonder what faction missions hold in store?

Searching a lair - one or the other, not both. I searched some multiple times, as many as 4x today. Now I can make omelets.

Milking - Kari tried, but Goat beat on his "cow". Ok, I shot it too. Milking is boring, but the one time I did it, no warping problems. But I was on Talus and it was a humbaba, so who knows?

About it.

Oh, and while Theed is rebel on my server, Coronet is a battleground of Rebels slaying Imps and NPCs dropping Players. Pretty cool.

JB

btw, that's a half million I made harvesting hides today

Looting - ehhh. We switched off. Back to how it was I guess. I looted some hide but it didn't tell me, but told Kari.

Theed is a imp stronghold city no? Like it can never be 'captured'.

nope. Theed is not the Imp Stronghold on Naboo. Deeja Peak is Imp Strong hold. Here is from patch notes:

http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/content.jsp?page=Galactic%20Civil%20War%20-%20Compiled%20Update

Planetary Occupation System
The players' actions in the Galactic Civil War (GCW) will be reflected in the 'Occupation!' enhancement. The guards patrolling cities and the symbols of power in the cities will change based on who is winning the GCW on that planet. As the tide of the GCW shifts so too shall the planets!

Tracking
The system will track the status of the GCW for each individual planet. Players can affect the status of the GCW through placing factional bases, both PVP and PVE. The longer a base remains in the world the more it benefits the faction. PVP bases count far greater than PVE bases. Initially Tatooine, Corellia, and Naboo will be affected by this system.

Two cities on each of these planets will never change faction. These are the stronghold cities. Anchorhead, Vreni Island, and Moenia will always be Rebel. Bestine, Bela Vistal, and Deeja Peak will always be Imperial.

Based on who is winning the factional conflict per planet, faction point costs and the faction presence in cities will change. The system will continually check the status of the GCW and determine city allegiance as control shifts.

City Patrols & Scans
The non-stronghold cities located on Tatooine, Corellia, and Naboo will be patrolled by the faction that controls the planet. Cities will also have patrols of neutral police, regardless of the planetary controller. For example, if the Imperials are winning the GCW on Corellia, Tyrena will be patrolled by Imperial soldiers as well as CorSec.

The neutral police forces are loyal to the faction that controls the planet and some will conduct scans of passers by. The police will be searching for contraband such as illegal spices and sliced weapons (regardless of faction) or enemy faction players (Rebel or Imperial) and will fine or attack as appropriate. Running away from a scan will continue to have the same effects (loss of faction). High ranking members of factional armies will be safe from scans if their faction controls that planet.
