Ok guys lemme know why someone would go for master ranger. Spill about the pros the cons, all of it.

Ranger is a way of life, not a set of skillboxes.
Most Rangers, especially the masters are Rangers because that's what they want to be, and couldn't conceive of being something else.
If you're looking for an uber template, or awesome bonuses, then well..

If you are thinking of going Master Ranger really play it for a while, don't grind. If you don't like camps, traps or camo while playing then you probably never will, and Master will give you little benefit. If you DO like it then you may want to Master for the tag, the pride, and the Dath camo kits.

Toss up between the meat harvestingand the ability to toss traps. I only wish traps would work for PvP or NPC's and I would be set!

I ask because I was thinking of going Ranger. Im pve mainly as it is, and have done my share of hunting for medic meats!

We could totally explain it, but under the Rules Of Mastering Ranger - paragraph 11a, subsection 1b - we would then have to kill you.

actually, i agree with the whole 'lifestyle' thing. if you're looking for an uber template, this is definitely not the way to go. but if you like the 'idea' of ranger, then it's the profession for you.

If you're thinking and not really sure... then maybe you should skip it.
Ranger is not an instant gratification profession... I'm still several skillboxes away from Master (if that's what you're after) and I've been at it for a few months.
This is a profession you don't grind. You embrace it.
And don't get anyone started on the size of a Ranger's wallet.

Not looking for Uber at all, Im a casual player and dont like to grind to much unless its fun, had enough of grinding in artisan, medic and doc; now I wanna have fun.
What Im really looking for, is what do Rangers do? The guidelines arent to specific, and I am attracted to the "ranger Mystique", what makes them Needed in SWG ....other than selling meat to docs?
