I'd love a little pointy clicky arrow option for Area track, so if it says "Durni 500m E" I can click on it and it will show me East, heck even set me a waypoint to it.
Whilst on Area track, i'd like to be able to cover my tracks if I get really bored or unlock uberleet jedi skillz.
Finally, i'd like my own tracks to show up on area track, i've not been in the area? What?! Eeeee! Hovering rangers!
Now there's a thought...
I would like to see all the traps that exist work as described.
I would also like to see a few new traps added to the Ranger line, in the trapping boxes that do not get us other certifications:
- Serrated Spur - A trap that has the effect of preventing creature healing over a limited (but useful) timeframe. This would not be a bleed, as the traps are designed to directly damage creatures, but would be enormously useful in havinga Ranger in your group to help take down large prey, such as Krayts, Gorax, GDK, other large occasionally fluffy and always dangerous critters that populate the galaxy. In terms of resources, I would recommend as part of the components like Dathomiran Insect Meat or some such as the "clot prevention" or some such.
- Hide Bore - A trap that applies a minor effect (25% maybe) Armor Break on a creature, that might last overa reasonably long period of time. Nothing that would be competitive with the traditional elite combat professions, but something that would be an excellent usein trapping to apply another useful effect while hunting creatures, great and small.
I would also like to see an ability, tied to the Rescue ability, called something like "Predator's Howl" or some such, where the Ranger can imitate the hunting call of a predator indiginous the planet they are on to scare off (invoke a Retreat) on a number of creatures. Creature crowd control, in a manner of speaking, where as the Ranger increases in ability, there are more planets for which the Ranger could invoke this ability on, simliar to the way that camoflage progresses.
Just some ideas, I'm sure something similar or frighteningly identical has been suggested before.

I would like to see a gun that the rangers could use and i have a few ideas of some types that would fit the ranger class:
A gun that fires a net at npc/creatures, basically giving a root effect this seems fitting for a ranger.
A gun that resembles a harpoon gun, this could cause a bleed effect on the creature also fitting for large game hunting.
A gun similar to a tranquilizer gun, could lower the attack speed of the enemy, seems very fitting to a ranger(perhaps it could shoot Pdarts)
A gun that fires any trap for that matter, kinda like a grenade launcher but instead it uses crafted traps as ammo.
A bolo, i am not sure how to explain this to anyone who doesnt know what this is, but its basically a string with 2 heavy iron balls on both ends of it, the ranger would spin it around over his or her head and throw it at the legs of the creature/npc it was attacking, tangling there legs in the process (Snare)
Cattle prod<<< hehe would be funny>>> though melee would not be the best thing for a ranger IMO
cattle trops<<< not sure on spelling but its similar to what a ninja would use, they drop them on the ground and when something walks over it they recieve a spike in there foot (Snare)
Boomerang<< would be really cool
also somthing that causes a poison effect like a blow gun
If you like theses ideas let me know i can come up with 1k more

When we are hunting multiple creatures a group should focus on one to take it down fast and move on to the next. We should be able to hit a creature with a dart of some sort to highlight that so other party members know wich creature to attack next. We are hunting machines we should be effecient.
Camo, This is cosmetic, but when we are camo'ed I would like to see us as camo'ed, something to let us know we are hidden from things. Face Paint, change of clothing ect....
Tracking should be fixed. I would really enjoy seeing some tracks once we have found them.
Craftable markers to place to let us know that we have been in that area to track already. Put a Timer on them so they dissapear after xx amount of minutes.
Give us rangers a slightly higher creature handling level. We would not be able to train or tame, but with us being able to control a creature this would in turn make CH's more useful since we would need our creatures trained by them.
herbal Heal foraging. Maybe some berries and plants that we could find on different planets to make healing salves. They would be a way for us to help heal people in our camps. We can get low level foods, maybe we could forage the equivlent of a stim A or B?
Thats my idea's hope ya like em and they are not to far out there.
