I just got Novice Ranger a while ago and now I have enough xp for my first box. My question is, which tier boxes should I get first to maximize my xp gain?

If you are gonna be useing armor, I would pick the one that reduces the penelties of armor first. I am tkm so I don't use armor, but if I did....., welcome and good luck.

I wasn't planning on wearing armor because I'm a wookiee ranger so armor can be expensive and hard to come by

I think it's a tough question to ask right now. As it stands Scout XP is based on CL. CL is based on the amount of SP spent over the course of your template. I've yet to figure out how it works exactly so it's tough to really predict what box will raise your CL next. (at least this is how I understand it to work)
My recommendation would be to maximize your creature harvesting right now. As long as you're planning to go Master Creature Harvesting will help you collect more hide and help you collect a bit more $$ while out in the wilds.

Hello all Rangers. I'm new to the profession so I had a quick question. Which stats do i need to be concerned with when harvesting animial resources? And are the main stats I lookat different for bone, hide, and meat or all the same? Thanks in advance for the help.

Welcome to the fold.
to answer your question. They are different, but you dont know what is better until you harvest it. Sometimes the hide is the best the creature has...sometimes the meat...ect.

Chefs and Bio-Engineers need meat, armorsmiths and Tailors need hides. OQ / PE / FL for the former, dunno for the latter.

Sorry. My question wasn't worded exactly right for what i was asking. When I harvest hide from an animal, which stats on that hide do i want to be high? OQ, DR, SR......? Same question for bone and meat. Thanks for the response and the welcome though.

For armorsmith, high OQ+SR scaley, leathery, and wooly hide for our armor segments, specifically Lokian leathery, Dantooine wooly, and Naboo bristley for armor cores. For the final step of making different armor, we can all four types of hide, animal bone, and avian bone with high OQ, SR, and DR.
Stats don't matter at all for tailors. The specific hide they use is Naboo scaley and Tatooine wooly (for boots), although they don't use much of it.

Chefs want OQ and FL (mostly OQ, I can never seem to get it 'all' so whatever is good!); you may want to check a few local Chefs and see if they want a semi-regular supplier. And we use more than meat, hides and bone are also used but only in a few recipes. Anyway, basically look for good OQ and you're set. If you're after cash too, try for milk =) Unfortunately it doesn't give Scout xp to get (which is really weird imo), but it's used in some Chef recipes too.

Just checked www.swg-resources.com and the current spawn of Tatooinian Carnivore Meat on Starsider is OQ=958, FL=897. And by the way thanks for the info from a Chef stand point
