Im planning on mainly going up the Carbineer and Squad Leader trees, but right now I have all of the scout tree but Master Scout.

My question is, how useful is tracking? Is it worth the extra points to sacrifice from the above 2 trees to have for a Squad Leader that will usually be in groups?

It's the only reason I get accepted to groups.

So yes, to me anyway, it is important.

It is the main reason to become a Ranger.

Yeah for all the of faults with tracking, it is one of my best skills and in-demand as well. Also much better now that they shortened the search time.

I use it all the time for hunting and looking for babies to tame. If you get a hunting mission from an explorer terminal, you'll find yourself /areatracking almost every 500m or so.

That's because the point-blank mods on them suck. Here, borrow my scout blaster.

Oh yeah its worth it, I cant imagine not having it now, yes there are bugs but is great for explorer missions and hunting out those higher level mobs. Just needs some minor tweaks like setting the range dependant on skill level etc.

I wonder if jedi takes up all the skill points tracking could come in usefull to make sure no-one is around.

Im gonna use it WHEN i become jedi

I love tracking so does my PA and friendly Chs, but I can't wait for man tracking woottt, Overt Rebs will be a falling one by one.

It doesn't tell you if someone is Rebel or Imp. Or overt or covert. All it does is give you names and distance/direction.

So it's a 2-step process. First you have to do /whorebel (or /whoimperial), and get the name of the Reb/Imp that is overt. Then you have to do tracking and see if their name come up on the list. Just remember though, that by the time you've tracked them and the list pops up, and you then type out where they are to you buddies... they've probably moved.

**edit** you...

The only thing that may be more useful then /areatrack is, well, /track. Just have to wait for it...
