Ranger Archive

I really really realized how rare rangers are in the galaxy far far away. A day or two ago I was in a solo group taking rancor missions for the meat (I'm working on BE). I had 2 people in the group who were working towards ranger. So I decided to help out one of them (who was also working towards rifleman at the same time) by killing rancors and letting him harvest. He was definitely happy, cos in the 1 hr period we hunted rancors, he got two skills done.

So anyways, while we were working out details as to where to meet and stuff, ppl started remarking and I quote "There are still people who are rangers?" That really took me aback. Wasn't expecting that remark. THo the 2 ppl who were working on ranger were quite as eager to jump on that person .

Ah well, thought I'd share this story.

Ranger has become the FOTM on Bria with the new harvesting changes. I can't go outside Coro or Mos Eisely without running through a dozen or more afk camps.

I agree Lord. FOTM. I wish I was still rare. I mean, I am. But I'm no longer one of maybe 3 Master Rangers on the server. I hope the CU fixes something else so that they all drop MR and go after something else.

Wish they'd get off their butts and get some tracking skills.

I got a couple of 'find me the farmer' 'find me the pirate' tonight. Binned them straight off, well, I'd been in space, had a shed load of damage and had made more monkey than those bright buttons were waving at me.

I did reply to some poor soul that was looking for the bounty hunters, well, I stepped off the shuttle in AH and he was hiding out with his little posse behind the cloner... didn't even /ar that one, so that was a freeby. (He's still got to work out the riddle lol)

One of my regular customers got himself on the ignore list over the weekend tho. I was busy working on Dath and he couldn't seem to understand that I wasn't going to drop everything and run just cos he'd got an hour or two to hang around while I looked for critters for him. I'll take him off iggy later, his alt pays good for organics.

yeah no kidding... I see one probably once a day.......a month ago....I never saw people with any kind of ranger tag. maybe they should reneg the harvesting bonus.....

The new Rangers are mostly alts and second accounts. Probably of a crafter.

Hmm.. are you saying that makes me less of a ranger?

I have several accounts and my ranger is probably my most played and most enjoyed account...I wanted to be a ranger from the first time I saw one of high tech field bases way back when I first started

I grinded all through Ranger and the tents all on my own with no help, because when I did it NO ONE else was doing Ranger...and I was soo proud when I was finaly able to train Master Ranger, and now I throughly enjoy the ouu and ahhs when I'm with a group and I'm able to drop one of those awsome tents..or now when the harvesting bonus comes up on the screen!!

Also.. on most of my characters I don't show my proffesion tags...I have a doc/cm, and a pistoleer/fencer..(working on smuggler)...but I ALWAYS display my Master Ranger because its the one I'm most proud of Mastering

i say let those rangers take all the tracking contracts on my server. not one other ranger i know enjoys tracking. Though for the right price my guild is scary good at it

I've seen 3 - 10 Master Rangers a day on Corbantis for a long time. Not that there aren't days that I see none. I couldn't count the the number of Tracker tags I see.

About three days after the harvesting changes, hot avian hit Yavin and I ened up in a group of 3 Masters and a Noivce. Affter about a half hour with the group the Novice and I split off from the group cuase they kept geting us incaped, lol.
