Thread: A RANGER Exercise Rarest, Toughest Creatures in the Game

I originally posted this on the CH boards, cause well, I'm a CH, but I realized Rangers might be better suited... I am looking for the rarest creatures and NPC's in the game, and also the most difficult. As Rangers's I'm hoping you can add to the list of rare creatures (and of course feel free to throw in NPC's) that are known. I'm less interested in boss spawns really, although I have listed a few.
Anyway, here is my list

I gotta say Lord Nyax suprised the hell out of me by hitting me repeated for 1500-2000 damage a shot. Probably wouldnt have been bad with a decent tank but I just ran like a lil girl.. lol.

The other day I ran into a "Mosterous Brute". It is the boss of some of the Enraged Rancor lairs. Quite tough.

Tusken Executor should probably be the Tusken Executioner.
Also, most of the Jedi quest creatures are quite hard and rare (like the stintaril prowlers) although I'm not sure how hard you want to consider hard or rare. You could try going to www.swgcreatures.com and doing an advanced search for creatures over a certain difficulty level. You seem to have a decent selection already but it's hard to know when you will be happy with the list.

Ah, spelling was never my strong suit.
Anyway, yes, I'm well aware of SWGCreatures, I used it to compile my initial list actually =)
Thanks for your help guys, I think I've just about tapped all the MOB's I'm searching for.

not sure if theyre rare, but i ran into some odd npcs the other day while wandering yavin
they were 2 aggressive'Dark Jedi Sentinels' with 1.3million HAM, 95% resists to everything except lightsaber and they conned GREEN to my uber TKM/Merchant/Ranger template 
i didnt want to spend the next day there, so i left them be...saved the wp for some future day

don't know but are ancient bull rancors rare, i see them quite often

The Sentinels are sort of guarding the Jedi Enclaves. You can kill them but they are not meant to give xp and such. They like to use lightsabers, though, so don't expect to tank one for long. They are hard but you can kill them with a bit of work.

Not really tough, but fairly rare, I believe.Elder Pulverizer. Boss Bolle Bol that will sometimes pop when the lair is destroyed.I destroyed about 200 lairs during the last Naboo Herb frenzy and saw only two of them.

I would be interested to know how many of the rarest / hardest creatures my fellow Rangers have hunted and the results (ie: Solo/Group and successful?).
For myself ...
I hunted for a Gorax to no avail twice ... once with a group and once with a friend.
Found Peko Peko Albatross 3 times - 1st time just watched it for 30 minutes in awe (was alone), 2nd time watch a guy solo it for an hour and healed him concealed while he did then the second one spawned and a creature handler friend and I helped him with that one, and the 3rd time it was 5 of us hunting together with 8 spawns in a row (3 taken by another group) .. now this trip was interesting because with the first one only 1 of the people hunting had joined me and she was brave enough to solo it - was amazing to watch - she used polearm with some kind of mind wound damage and took it down in 10 minutes. BTW - each time I found the Peko Peko Albatross was by accident while traveling and simply coming across it ... never found one while purposely tracking it - go figure!
I found the Graul Marauder for a Jedi Padawn and helped him and 2 other Jedi take it and the second spawn out. This one was my first successful rare track so was special for that and the fact that I helped a guy become Jedi.

Red = soloed (some of these I've also killed in groups) (edit: I also mean killed for these--I have yet to find a target that I've tried to kill and haven't succeeded)
Green = grouped and killed (mainly for those that I did after I picked up SL)

/concealshot is really too powerful.
Also, you might want to include stuff like the Death Watch Overlord in this list.

This is a creature handler though right? I figure this gentleman wants to know the best creatures in attempt of finding them and finding out they have no babies because they are super beasts. But anyways, on Endor I saw one desperado of a SBD just standing there waiting. He was closer to the pirate outpost than the other one. He had taken a little damage(about .05%) and I figured one of the groups hunting the herb meat said what the hell and tried him. I am sure he must had spit on them to Incap them and then just rolled them over for the death blow. I was not about to get within 100meters of that dude I don't think he gave me scouting xp when I walked on. He only had about 250K HAM across the board does that mean he is weaker than the Jedi sentinals you folks spoke of earlier?
