What I am about to share with you all is true, everything I tell you actually happened. You are about to here the story of a gorax encounter from a person who was there.

It beganthis evening at aprox. 4:00 ET, on the Starsider galaxy. I was patrolling the desert of Endor, looking for Mantigrue Screecher lairs, and having little success (as usual). I ventured farther and farther into the unknown region, noticing an unusually high amount of hanadaks showing up.I am now right smack dab in the middle of the desert, all alone, and I see a huge pack of hanadak drifters. This struck me as odd considering hanadak drifters are usually seen all alone. I stop, get out of my speeder, and hit the areatrack. Drifter, drifter, drifter, drifter, drifter, gorax, drifter, drif- OMG!!!! I turn around. POW!!! "You have been slain by gorax." /faint

I call all my guild buddies out here, waypoint the location, and wet my pants... The gorax stays in the general area, and when my buddies arrive they all go crazy. HE'S HUGE!!! This was an understatement. He was about twice as tall as my rancor, and he scared the crap out of me. I clone, and drive out there again.

We all group up, and one of them buffs us, and we get ready to tackle the beast. With only six of us there, we knew we were in for a rough going. We all attack it. We see a bit of health go down. WOOOOOO!!! We keep hitting him. No more health goes down... Oh Crap. By this time, i had already died, maybe, 3 or 4 times (such is the fate of a ranger/ch :smileysad

About an hour later the gorax's health is halved, and we're feeling good. We break away, for a quick regroup, and rebuff. Next thing we know, POOF. Our gorax friend despawned on us...

but then after a cuople seconds, BAM, another gorax spawns and promptly despwns. We get ready to leave, when (doh) ANOTHER GORAX SPAWNS!!! We have now just witnessed three gorax sightings in one night. So we go back to work, hammering the new gorax, which has full health.

And, about another hour later, the gorax seriously hurt, we start dying. We have run out of buff packs... We called it quits right abuot there, and let the monster go.

The gorax is a magnificent creature. He deserves to live.

Long live the gorax.

Too bad you could not take down the beast but at least it gave you a great tale. From the sound ofit the gorax also seems smart. At least smart enough to know when to teleport and instant heal itself.

Since you said that there were a lot of drifters around maybe the loading screen about the gorax controling the hanadak is true.

Also what were the professions of the other people in your group? You being a ch/ranger, alongwith a doctor, who else was taking on this monster?

we had a master swordsman, two master riflemen, a commando, and a bounty hunter. A TKM would have been helpfull.

Wow! That many people with buffs and still that hard??? I am going to have to start a list of avid Gorax huunters on my server. THat way I can get 15-20 people together to take it down lol. I hope I get to see one someday.
