Hi there,

Needtrapping XP? Not too strong so you can't throw trapps on those nasty mobs without getting slammed right away? Well, here's amini guidefor you, step by step.

  • Buy a ticket to Endor(Smuggler's Outpost).

  • Find tne mission terminal and look for these creatures: Boar Wolf's, Bordok's or those monkey things (handaks ..sp?).

  • When you get to the lair, look around if you can find anyyellow mobs (ie: non aggresive). Crimson Blurrg's are *great*.

  • Get*one* of those nasty aggresivefiends after you (Boar Wolf for example).

  • Run to one of those yellow (non aggresive) mobs, and BAM!The non aggresive (Crimson Blurrg for example)starts to attack whatever was on your tail and you get a 2-3 minute offree throw-trap-time (most of these have 10k HAM, so it take a while for the mobs to finish the fight ). Youwill get 566 Trapping XP PERtrap!

  • Just repeat these steps until yougot enough.

Easy, and almost no-risk. I used the first trap the scout tree offer (use very little resources).

Forgot to add: make sure you get one or two attacks on it so you can harvest it after the fight for a nice 500 Scout XP

I used a similar trick with a pre-nerfed probot

I employed a similar strategy on yavin, by throwing traps at creatures fighting each other. Kliknik queens give 485 xp per trap thrown. Another good strategy is have 2 or more trap types available, that way you dont have to wait for the first one's effect to wear off before you throw another.

It is what it is called "an exploit Bug" .... I invite everybody to not use such exploit ... except if they want to be banned from SOE ...

Yes its true you can get huge amounts of trap this way, but why would you?

Get a group and head to endor, have some fun, Myself and a friend went and i got so much trap XP i couldnt get anymore beofre i trained.

In a group take on the merek things, you get a heap of weapon xp and about 1k per trap, and usually you can get 3 traps of per creautre, so its like 3k trap.

Myself i was getting 3k rifle, 3k trap, 1k scout while enjoyin the hunt.

People, start enjoying the game and dont worry about levelling to quickly!!

Where is the exploit? Mobs fight each other, that's how the game is designed. Not everything that is good = is an exploit. You need to chill.

I'm enjoying myself. I just found out how I could make trapping XP easier, and I thought I could help others by posting it. Man, what a unfriendly board.

Perhaps you should change the subject line to "Need a skill nerfed? Here's how!"

It's not an exploit really, but it's pretty cheesy and the fact that debuff traps stack with each other seems pretty buggy to me, but that's just my opinion.

Wow, we have a great community going on here.

People posting on how to make AFK-macro camp whatever, and everyone goes "yay!".

I'm playing the game as it can be played (oh no, I throw traps on fighting mobs AND I throw multiple of'em too!).

And that's what? Exploit? Bug? Please.

You guys need to chill.

Its not really unfriendly, its just, not ethical to trap for xp like that!

I pretty much only use the Prec dart, (well until they new traps come out) and it has a delay which is good, i think all traps should, to stop people spamming them, and getting uber xp without really doing anything.

Once more, bring on the big ranger patch!!!!

Eh? So what you're saying is that I should just do like you (because, you're obviously playing the game as it should be played) and throw one trap per mob and then kill it? It's ethical wrong to throw multiple traps? HAHA! That's a quote.

The exploit is not in the wayyoudo It ...

I mean that getting 50K xp in an hour is absolutely insane ... that means you are levevelling from Advanced Trapping I to Advanced Traping III in 40 minutes ...

Just remember that to reach a master professions in all MMORPGS, It takes usually hundreds of hours.

So each time you find a way to gain so many xp in a way you can level up in an hour : it is an exploit bug.

I dont blame you ... I think SOE is responsible about not being able to catch such problems ...

After such exploiting ... people will cry thatthe system isnerfed (to prevent such thing) ... cause they will think it is a normal way of levelling ...

Nah,

i use three pec darts on a merek, get 3k xp from it, but im also killing it with the help of a friend, not relying on the creautre itself fighting with other creatures.

I myself, yes am honorable, however i can understand that you want to proceed quickly, however, my personal belief, and once i again MY PERSONAL BELIEF, is that if you can develop such a system than enables you to advance your skill, without actually putting yourself in danger, then that is a game mechanics exploit, IN MY OPINION.

Im not naive, i know people are out there to get UBER as quick as possible, for me, i just dont see the benfits in this, what does one achieve by using "a go around" to achieve something?

Im certainly not trying to sound high and mighty, not at all, each to their own, these are just my thoughts, which is what a forum is for isnt it? Discussion and posting of ideas, soultions?

I hope that actions like these dont cause a nerf that will affect everyone in the future that is trying to become trappers.
