So I was talking to a Master Tailor about more specialty clothing. She informed me that the BE she works with needs a lot of stuff to make any decent amount of specialty cloth. Specifically... EGGS.

My ears perked right up !! We are talking 700 eggs for a factory run. At a measly 10cpu thats... hmmm, guzzinta, carry the aught... a buncha money for stuff I find and used to discard as basically useless, back when I actually did search lairs. No clue what they use em for, don't care, but finally someone besides chefs need em.

Now 700 eggs is a load. But, camo up, wander the countryside and just hit lairs for eggs. I did this for 30 minutes, no burst run, just normal, with my overhead map onand radar turned up to see concentrations / possible lairs. I got upwards of 120 eggs in that half hour. From a low of 2 to a high of 12 per lair... average was about 4 I think. Then I went and harvested the more promising lairs (waypoints, gotta love em).

Not gonna be rich off the eggs, but 7k is 7k ... beats making stuff for a living...

And what if I barter the eggs for a discount... ???

Good stuff. Finally a use for eggs! Maybe that's how I'll make my credits... fishing and searching lairs. I certainly can't kill anything else by myself.

10 creds seems extremely low for eggs. These are something you don't get from every lair. And I believe that once one person searches the lair, no one else can. Please correct me if i am wrong on this one. I have seen many lairs that did not offer the option to search.

I would say eggs should sell for in large quantities for say about 30 or 40 creds. I mean 700 of them at 30 creds is only 21K, not a lot for a BE using them to sell specialty clothing enhancements, that I have seen go for 7 to 14K each unit.

Don't short change yourself on something that is rare. 40 creds might still be to low. I know that it is only one ingredient but wow, only 10 a unit is still low. Just my opinion,

I like this info. I've been searching lairs now for the eggs. Of course, they currently suck on Talus (Radiant), but I'm sure I can develop a good working relationship by offering them free to an up and coming bio-engineer in my area. Then I'll start selling them when the quality increases and I start getting more of them.

You would get close to the lair, select itand choose "Search the Lair" on the radial menu.

don't really know how to ask this, ''how are eggs packaged?''. i mean, is there like 'dantooinian herbivore eggs' or just 'dantooine eggs' or just 'eggs'? how specific is the resource known as 'eggs'

it's **edit** specific, you can find like up to 8 types of eggs on just one planet.. that's the main reason it's so **edit** hard to get any kind of sizable stack of eggs.

add to that that mostly you'll find 'sample of live <bats|butterflies|bees>' in there and no eggs, each lair can be searched only once and you have a helluva scarce commodity.
