"We're constantly re-evaluating our design decisions and listen carefully to player feedback. We changed our stance on Rangers contributing to combat level and will be adding that into the calculation. In the near future you will see your Scout and Ranger skills add to your Combat Level. =)"

Nice... I tried to get on earlier, but the java link isn't working for me for some reason, so I figured I'd just wait and see....

I don't want to rain on the parade. But there are implications here we need to be ready for and able to test.
With adjusted CL comes the ability to take on higher level creatures. Without the Combat skills to do anything though we're stuck.
You may not take as much damage, but you might also not deal enough to really make it worthwhile. I'm very happy to see health being added to the profession!
Lets justcheck andmake sureit doesn't hurt us by creating a situation where we "mis-con" in the process.

Im fine with it. Its the change of the devs perception which is the main thing you need to consider. We are a combat profession and the devs realise this hehe.

As a former ranger/SL and still a squad leader I give you a /salute on a job well done. I'm still unhappy with them taking away our SL xp and replacing it with pistol.

Yup, it shows a little movement on their aprt and that's a huge improvement in itself.
Let's see when 'the near future' is
