Thread: Faction Bases and Cities
I realize some of you have been wanting that question answered for some time. Just so you know, I wanted to answer you. However, sometimes my hands are tied. I'm not supposed to talk about things that haven't made it to Test Center. So I've been unable to discuss this further. While I cannot confirm that this change has hit Test Center, I did get permission to share this information with you as I realize that some of you really needed it.
Thanks for your patience.
Awesome! Very excited to hear this. =) Thanks, Plinka. And thank the Devs for me! =) Now, back to continuing planning as usual... =D

*sighs* That sucks . . . now anyone can drop a faction base in your uncontrolled radius and turn your city into a PvP haven. I REALLY hope they change their mind on that.

To that last post, I'd say there is: tip off an opposing faction leader. On the other hand, if a city WANTS a faction base in it, the mayor can seek out a top leader of the DESIRED faction and arrange its placement. I'd say this adds some serious intrigue to the politician class: it's a potential new place for diplomacy, which is really a significant portion of what running a city's all about.
My two galactic credits.
