I recently read on another thread that dual citizenship was an exploit (at least in certain circumstances). Does anyone have official confirmation of this? My city has 80 citizens, about 10-15 of which do not own a structure in the city. Does this make our city built on exploits? No, none of the dual citizens are on there on purpose, but right now we have someone running for mayor who is the mayor of another town. If this was an exploit, it would be far easier to convince them to come revoke citizenship. Thanks for reading.

it's a bug, but if you use this bug on purpose to gain citizens it could be considered an exploit. the devs know about it, and they'll fix it ASAP.

For us its a bug. We have one citizen that gets taxed and is still on the militia of a city he left months ago. Is this something we can get fixed?

have him go to that city and revoke his citizenship at the city terminal in the left room of the city hall.

My concern is that they will remove the ability to declare on separate planets. From a sense of verisimilitude, it's completely acceptable to have residency on different planets. When they get around to this, I hope they only fix what is necessary & not remove a feature that is very realistic.

Figures that it's a bug - it's something that makes sense.

So the answer is, the devs know about it.
Just dont deliberately use it.
