here are the newest TC patch notes:
update: no AP necessary for training novice.
I'm not sure if this means a an increase for 0 lot structures (city hall, cloner, etc), but I'll find out.
update: currently structure that have over 250 cap (cantina/theatre/hospital/PA halls/large houses) are bugged. you cannot place anything directly into the building over the old cap, but you can (up to the new cap) when placing items into a storage container in the building.
what are your thoughts?
- Removed all apprentice XP requirements from all professions
update: no AP necessary for training novice.
- All Housing item limits have been changed. This will mean that small houses can now store 100 items for a Naboo small house, and 200 for the the other small and medium houses. Large houses and Guild Halls can now store 400 items each instead of being limited to 250 items each

i think if they do not spend specific time on politicians for drastic changes, citys and the prof are doomed. I think that they will let this happen and sometime after all other revamps and the gcw ect then MAYBE they'll get around to fixing city's... Heck from their track record they've learned they can sit on things totally borked for over a year and not really affect proffits and they have the stuff they want to get out so thats likely what they will do.

Well in all honesty AP was never really much of a factor in anything. If you have ranged support 1 meet up with darn near anybody and train them in it over and over and over again. Most people don't master marksman unless they have to and combat exp is easy to come by with a finished template.
So basically this took out a 20 minute 'grind' session to get novice politician and/or master a prof. Combined with the 0 skill point change this does mean our prof basically 100 credits and 3 clicks away, but the hinderance that AP provided is even less tangible than the 15 point skill req.

Is this just for Small Naboo houses Style 2, or for both styles? I mean, it would be cool to go from 75 items to 100 on the Style 2 houses, but losing 50 items on the Style 1 houses would really suck. Anyone know for sure???

I'm pretty sure that Tiggs means "100 items per lot, up to 400 items per house", so you get 200 for any 2 lot smalls.

OK, that makes a lot more sense.

Needing Apprentice Points was a really nice concept but unfortunatly it didn't work out as they were really easy to gather (and were mostly also earned through "grinding" instead of earning them through real gaming) ... so I don't really see the necessity for them anymore.
On the other changes (especially the item improvement) I have to say I'm very suprised about these fabulous patch notes and can't wait to redo a lot of interior designing ... hope city halls also have more space (and maybe clonecenters could be unbugged too?)

Yeah, I juts saw the updates and extra other stuff in the patch notes...this is the best patch ever. If the CURB alpha and beta goes smoothly and quickly we may be playing a brand new game (one that everyone wanted from launch) before summer.

well I'm master poli from about a little after cities went live, and this sucks, now anyone can become mayor if they can get enough of their friends to vote for them

Friends that could have gotten him 300 AP in about 10 minutes. I'm sorry but that and the 15 skill points for novice politician was not a gate to prevent people from running against the current mayor. The fact that a new contestant can't really do much to change the city beyond put a new face on it and/or depose a madman is what provided a gate. Well in the new system that is, the impossibility to get 50 people to vote used to be it but now that's gone thankfully.

update: TechnoCan was nice enough to go into TC and fetch info for me while I'm at school. while some of the other changes are in, novice poli and other master prof boxes still require AP. I'll let you guys know about novice xp requirement ASAP.

I successfully trained Novice Politician last night with less than 500 app. Some other also retrained their master box without losing any app. This was included with the latest hotfix (though it was not listed on the patch notes).
