Casinos with better GUIs on the games... that'd be nice... especially multiplayer games. People have way too much money, I'd like to siphon some of it off

Similar Idea that I had

Casinos seem too public for all of us, but by all means turn a Cantina into a Smugglers Den as an Illegal place, but also have the possibility of the Smugglers Den as a private house or whatever - a den of iniquity and vice
Comment and suggestions in that thread would be apprieciated.
Certainly some kind of building would be good for us - but i'd like the option of a hideout rather than an all too public area.

If it can be made underground then I'm all for it. I would love to have my house and then have a secret compartment leading to my underground casino.

Well, since the SWG definition of Smuggler is clearly not the same as you'd find in a dictionary, and we seem more like General Underworld Dudes (btw, I'd love to have the title Master General Underworld Dude =p), why not add gambling to it? I mean, we produce and sell drugs, we modify weapons and armor illegally, why not this too?
What I'd love to seeis the chance for a Crackdown in any given player building operated by a smuggler as a Casino. The game already has mechanics to recognize that players are in a given area of the map, and once you've been there long enough, will start to spawn lairs and creatures in response. Why not set up a Casino such that as more PCs are in there doing their thing, the chances of an Imperial response rise. Being in an Imperial player city would offer no help either, and all players inside a Casino when a Crackdown is initiated would get a TEF making them open to attack by Imperial NPCs. No matter if you are neutral, overt Reb or Imp, covert Reb or Imp, you'd be attackable by all nearby Imp NPCs. A squad would actually invade the building, much like goes on now in static city cantinas. And then if you take the fight outside, any other Imperial NPCs would respond accordingly (making it very risky to operate one of these in an Imperial City, even for an Imperial player - help mitigate the fact thay can evade the city scans and the wilderness scans with 100% impunity). I've been craving that feeling of doing bad things and having there be consequences. This'd be a lot of fun I think. The end of the Crackdown would occur when either all the invading Stormtroopers are killed, or all the PCs in the home are dead, whichever occurs first.

Anything that gets me closer to actually playing Sabaac in-game. I mean Smugglers are s'posed to be gamblers (it even says so in our official description). And without gambling Solo would never have won the Falcon from Calrissian. And, does anyone even use the "casinos" that are in-game already? I mean, they're kinda lame...

l ways thought of us fitting the role of "Scoundrel" more than "Smuggler" (a mere facet of scoundreliness), but perhaps that would step (stomp) on the d20 RPG toes a bit harder than just stealing more than 1/2 their market already has...
