Thread: Fighting mad yet again
/hug and /comfort
I understand that moving is probably not an option you want to consider after 6 months. You get attached to places. ![]()
It may be worth it to you to get in contact with some of the other Player Cities on your planet. Find out what they're doing and just generally get to know the larger picture for your planet. It may be that you can find out about other cities dying, or looking to merge, or maybe even a well-established one that you could work with in some capacity. It's not a solution, but it may help to ease some of the frustration working with some other mayors (maybe some in similar situations).
That's awesome!!!! Too bad it'll be too late for me lol. I'm moving my guild hall and two houses full of stuff at this moment.
Can't wait until this happens! *tries to wait patiently and fails miserably*

Some good news about the character purge from Fan Fest Player City forum...the structure part of it is ready to go as far as the actual process goes. It's just waiting on a few technical issues with infrastructure to be fixed before it will work properly. So it's getting close.
They have the intention of sending out e-mails to everyone well in advance of this. They will also try to let mayor's know ahead of time what structures in their cities will be affected.
The way this is going to work is not a complete destruction of the stucture and items. What they are going to do is basically roll-up the house and items and place it in the player's bank. So they don't loose their items, only their land. Incidentally, they're working on making this kind of system available to players in order to make moving around easier.
I'll be posting more at the end of Fan Fest to sum up everything I've got notes on as it relates to Player Cities and Politician. So keep an eye out!
That is fantastic news! I'm so glad they'll just roll up instead of poof. That's a marvelous way to do it and I've long supported the idea. Will this be for all structures who run out of maintenance, or only in relation to a purge of some kind, like removing the buildings of all cancelled accounts, etc? If it's for a purge, I'll just have to make sure that by the time they do this, everything I have is out of the houses of friends who've cancelled and left me with admin!
(I'm a packrat.)
Please also tell me this will take the place of the Eternally Placed Structure, where buildings are drawing on bank accounts for years and years. We have one vendor tent from a departed player that, at this rate, will be there for nineteen years by my math.
